David and Katie met at Piedmont, where they both work. David is a radiology tech and Katie is a NICU nurse. One night David responded to a request for X-ray in NICU—not knowing they had just matched on a dating app. Katie, being shy and awkward saw him coming around the corner and hid another bed space while he took the X-ray. Later, David messaged Katie wishing her a good night and she responded “don’t act like we didn’t have the most awkward interaction just now”. They both laughed about it and met up a couple weeks later for dinner and mini golf…the rest, you could say, is history!
