Katie and Brandon’s story began early Spring 2020 when they matched on the dating app Hinge. After messaging back and forth about their love for travel, food, and finding good parking, Brandon asked Katie out on a date, coincidentally to her favorite Mexican restaurant. Since the coronavirus pandemic had just begun, Katie was reluctant to go on the date, but since Brandon recommended her favorite place without knowing it, she couldn't resist. Even more coincidental was when Brandon asked where Katie lived so he could pick her up, they found out they lived in the same apartment complex! So Brandon made the lengthy trek to the other side of the complex and they went on to spend their first date talking for hours about everything under the sun. 


Over the following weeks and months, their love would grow while quarantined during the height of the pandemic. Bonding over puzzles, cooking, playing cards and video games, hammock swinging, walks with her (now their) dog Jax, and simply enjoying the slower pace of life during that time they came to realize their love was something special. When Brandon received orders to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, Katie, knowing she couldn't part with him, immediately decided to make the move as well.


Described by their friends and family as perfect complements of each other, Katie and Brandon now spend their weekends living by the coast, running their boat aground, taking walks, and enjoying their first home together. 


They are so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all their favorite people!
