Our Wedding

Katie and Wyatt met right before the world shut down in March of 2020 and were basically inseparable since. Wyatt was recovering from an injury when they first met and with 2020 being well, 2020, they spent the first 8 months of their relationship through facetime and distanced visits. Wyatt introduced Katie to a world of agriculture and cattle that she never knew existed before him. She fell in love with his close knit family and his deep rooted family values. Wyatt loved Katies bubbly extroverted personality and joining her big family. Katie and Wyatt moved in together Fall 2023 after Katie started her teaching career. Wyatt invited Katie to join his family and friends at the Royal Winter Fair 2023. With a day of stress behind them, Wyatt took Katie on a walk down the iconic walk to tie-outs. On the way back, with a gorgeous background, sunset, CN Tower, old exhibition building and, unknown to Katie, a photographer; Wyatt asked Katie to spend the rest of their lives together. In excitement before Wyatt could get his words out, Katie put her hand out and screamed yes. Since then a quiet Wyatt and perky Katie have settled into their new place and have begun planning their big day.

Rebecca and Katie have been best friends for over 13 years and are basically sisters. Rebecca has kept Katie grounded, loved, organized and laughing for their entire friendship. From life changing milestones, like standing with Bec on her wedding day, to weekly drives or summer walks, Katie has enjoyed every second of it being best friends. Katie is unbelievably grateful to have Rebecca by her side as her MOH on her big day.

Aidan and Wyatt met each other playing hockey in high school. They have been best friends ever since. If Wyatt isn’t talking about cows with Katie, she can find him talking about hockey or video games with Aidan. Wyatt can’t wait to celebrate with his best friend by his side.

Ciara and Katie have shared everything in their life (even their birthdays, well except for Wyatt ;). Ciara has been Katie’s rock and life-long twin flame forever and always. If Katie isn’t on the phone with Wyatt, you can probably find her cackling on the phone with Ciara. Ciara is an empathetic, kind and loving sister and bestie, Katie couldn’t be more thankful for the undying love and support from Ciara and cannot wait to celebrate with her twin.

Devon and Wyatt became friends in high school where they shared the same computer science class. This shared interest in technology keeping them friends for years. Now Devon is a close neighbour and great friend to have supporting him on his big day.

Colleen is Katie’s big sister. From knocking over a Barbie shoe store and never playing with it again to helping lead Katie through a busy Toronto street, best big sister doesn’t even begin to cover what Colleen represents for Katie. Colleen is amazingly strong, kind, and so amazingly herself. Colleen continues to inspire Katie to be remarkably dedicated to everything she does. Colleen has helped plan this big day for Katie and Wyatt in a way Katie’s chronic disorganized mind could never do. For that, and everything thank you Colleen.

Zenon and Wyatt have known each other for a very long time. Growing up through elementary school and continuing through high school together, Wyatt and Zenon have stayed in touch and remained close through their passion for video games. Wyatt is excited to have Zenon with him at his wedding.

Lauren is Katie’s closest friend from her time at Trent. Lauren rode high highs and low lows with Katie throughout their hectic jobs and studies in university. By them both being history majors and teddy bear girlies, this helped Katie and Lauren connect, laugh, cry and laugh some more, especially in lectures. Lauren’s unreal friendship and shared excitement through such huge milestones in their lives have been so touching for Katie. Katie cannot wait to have Lauren part of her day.

Jake and Wyatt became friends through the 2020 COVID lockdowns were they met each other through friends and video games. Now Jake is a close friend and Wyatt is honoured to have Jake travel in to be with him on this day!
