Katie and Pat's journey began on a memorable June evening in 2020. Both had been regulars at Twain’s Tavern, a cozy local bar, but it was that Wednesday night when their paths truly crossed. Katie and her best friend Kelly had decided to visit the tavern to catch a performance by Katie's dad's band. As they stood outside waiting for a table, Pat and two of his friends approached them to say hi. What started as a brief conversation quickly turned into an evening of live music, laughter and meaningful connection.

Throughout the night, they spent hours chatting and enjoying each other's company. By the end of the night, they had exchanged numbers and continued to stay in touch throughout the summer. It wasn’t long before Katie decided to give this new connection a chance. Their first date at Tagliata in Baltimore was the moment they both realized they had found something truly special.

On September 4, 2020, Pat officially asked Katie to be his girlfriend, and through many ups and downs, their love for each other never wavered. Pat’s proposal on August 25, 2024, in Downtown Annapolis was a perfect reflection of their story—meaningful and heartfelt, featuring a diamond from the ring his father gave his mother when he proposed 40 years ago.

Now, with great joy and excitement, they are looking forward to celebrating their wedding on October 19, surrounded by their best friends and family. This date is particularly special as it marks what would have been Pat’s parents' 40th wedding anniversary.
