It all started at The Ohio State University! Katie and Eric met in January of 2013 through mutual friends at a party. Numbers were exchanged and sparks were flying....except Katie didn't text back. A few months later Katie gathered up the courage and reached out and the sparks returned, so much so that Eric went over on his texting plan! A month or so later and still "just friends", Katie went to Cleveland with her roommates to celebrate Eric's 21st birthday. Thanks to a great heart to heart with best man Anthony who told her to not give up on Eric, Katie decided to be patient and see what was to come. Another month or so later, after some late night porch talks with Eric and bridesmaid Jackie, Eric finally asked Katie to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.! Since then, they have survived long distance, Katie moving to Cleveland, and living together in their first home! Katie and Eric are so excited to share their special day with all of you! (:

On November 22, 2019 Eric and Katie's families were together in Fremont to celebrate Thanksgiving. After eating, everyone decided to go on a walk. Eric and Katie had brought their Golden Retriever puppy Luna and everyone thought it would be nice to stretch their legs. Little did Katie know this was going to be one of the best walks in her life. While walking through the park by Katie's parents house, Eric said how nice it was that their families were together for the holidays. He said that they should try and get their families together for every holiday and he knew of a great way to make that happen. Eric then got down on one knee and asked Katie to be his wife.
