Katie and David met in the summer of 2014 at VBS. Although Katie was reserved at this point in life, only saying a few words in person to him, David never gave up on trying to get to know her. They didn't start talking again until that following school year, after David's football games. They got closer during this time, and their relationship grew. They were able to navigate a long distance relationship when David went off to college, and it showed them how much the other meant to them. The past eight plus years together has come with lots of ups and downs, but they can't wait to spend the rest of their years as one.
