Matt and Katie met briefly in College. Matt was in Sigma Chi and Katie spent a lot of time with her friends that joined. Whereas Matt and Katie didn't spend much time together or talk much, meeting this way first opened them up for something later.

In 2020 Matt and Katie found each other on Hinge, immediately recognizing each other from college. This allowed for easy conversation and feeling comfortable around each other quicker.

Matt and Katie had their first date on August 4th 2020. They set up their first date outside at Narwhals in Street of St. Charles. They lost track of time until the date was abruptly ended by the sprinkler system going off! Somehow this made the date even better and made it feel more special and unique.

After their first date Matt and Katie spent as much time together as possible. Once they decided to move in together it only reaffirmed that fact that they wanted to spend their lives together and that they help make each other better.

On April 21 2023 Matt proposed to Katie at her favorite place in the Lake of the Ozarks.

Matt and Katie are excited to continue their life together as husband and wife on September 28th. 2024
