Bryce&nbsp;and&nbsp;Katie's&nbsp;story&nbsp;began&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;playful&nbsp;twist:&nbsp;Katie&nbsp;startled&nbsp;Bryce&nbsp;by&nbsp;shouting&nbsp;down&nbsp;a&nbsp;staircase&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;friend.&nbsp;To&nbsp;make&nbsp;up&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;scare,&nbsp;she&nbsp;cheekily&nbsp;took&nbsp;his&nbsp;phone,&nbsp;entered&nbsp;her&nbsp;number,&nbsp;and&nbsp;suggested&nbsp;they&nbsp;hang&nbsp;out&nbsp;sometime.&nbsp;Later&nbsp;that&nbsp;day,&nbsp;fate&nbsp;reunited&nbsp;them&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;chemistry&nbsp;class,&nbsp;where&nbsp;they&nbsp;became&nbsp;lab&nbsp;partners.&nbsp;They&nbsp;began&nbsp;spending&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;time&nbsp;together,&nbsp;recognizing&nbsp;their&nbsp;commonalities&nbsp;and&nbsp;finding&nbsp;comfort&nbsp;in&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;navigated&nbsp;being&nbsp;away&nbsp;from&nbsp;their&nbsp;families&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;time. One&nbsp;night,&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;late-night&nbsp;drive,&nbsp;Katie&nbsp;handed&nbsp;Bryce&nbsp;a&nbsp;list&nbsp;detailing&nbsp;everything&nbsp;she&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;and&nbsp;what&nbsp;she&nbsp;would&nbsp;not&nbsp;tolerate.&nbsp;Instead&nbsp;of&nbsp;being&nbsp;intimidated,&nbsp;Bryce&nbsp;expressed&nbsp;his&nbsp;own&nbsp;expectations&nbsp;to&nbsp;her.&nbsp;From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;their&nbsp;bond&nbsp;deepened&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;story&nbsp;began&nbsp;to&nbsp;unfold.

In 2001, Katie was born, bestowing Jessica with the role of a big sister. Jessica had eagerly awaited Katie's arrival, looking forward to embracing her new sisterly responsibilities. Despite occasional disagreements, their unwavering support and profound affection for each other always prevails. From their wild adventures to their late-night Teleparty Zoom dates, they create cherished memories that deepen their sisterly bond. Katie feels incredibly blessed to have Jessica by her side as her maid of honor, celebrating their lifelong friendship and sisterhood.

Rachael and Katie met during a 2021 summer research program. Katie was looking for a housemate and reached out to Rachael. Before long, they were sharing a home. What began as a casual acquaintance blossomed into a close friendship, bolstered by their mutual love for crafts and Netflix. They became each other's biggest supporters, always there for one another in their endeavors. Together, they discovered new facets of each other's personalities, nurturing their bond through comforting self-care nights and unforgettable long car rides. This laid the foundation for a deep and enduring ride or die relationship.

Rachael Harsch

Katie and Alex’s friendship has grown over the years, becoming as close as family. They met in 2012, and from that moment, Alex credits Katie for shaping the person he is today. Her unwavering support and encouragement to step outside his comfort zone have had a lasting impact on him. Some of Alex’s favorite memories with Katie include her Beauty and the Beast production for her Girl Scout Silver Award, their last day together before college in August 2019, and the driveway ice cream day during the pandemic. For Alex, these memories reflect Katie’s love, her steady presence, and her ability to make ordinary moments feel meaningful.

Katie is honored to have Alex as a bridesman on her wedding day, a role that reflects their deep, lasting friendship. Over the years, Alex has been a constant source of support and encouragement, and having him by her side on such a meaningful day is a tribute to the bond they share.

Reflecting on their friendship, Alex says: “It’s moments like these, whether during COVID or not, that define my friendship with Katie and are the ones I cherish the most. Having a friend to confide in, someone who’s content to just hang out, talk, and enjoy each other’s company, is one of the greatest gifts you can have in life. Whether we’re at the beach, in the mountains, in a car, or even just in someone’s driveway, I’ll always be grateful for Katie’s ability to truly be present and make those moments special."

In sixth grade in 2012, Sander and Katie first crossed paths, bonding over their shared choir classes and theater interests. From the beginning, their friendship was built on trust, adventure, and unwavering support. Whether it was early morning drives, late-night board games, or life’s milestones, they’ve always been there for each other. One of Sander’s favorite memories is surprising Katie for her engagement at the beach house—a moment he still can’t believe worked out. At the time, he was juggling finishing his degree at Rutgers, working a second job, and preparing for his PhD, making that weekend with his best friend even more special.

Their bond only grew stronger, from deep conversations during a 2.5-hour drive to sleepless nights playing Villainous and celebrating Halloween. Katie has always been a constant source of honesty, laughter, and encouragement, challenging him to be his best and helping him through anxieties. In a world where trust can be fleeting, theirs has remained unshakable. No matter where life takes them, Sander knows they’ll always find their way back to board games and dinner at Applebee’s. She is his best friend, and he wouldn’t be where he is today without her. Sander is like family to Katie, and their bond goes beyond friendship—it's a deep, unbreakable connection that feels as if they've been part of each other's lives forever.

Mikayla has been a warm and welcoming presence in Katie’s journey into the family. They first crossed paths at Mikayla’s wedding to Bryce’s cousin CJ in 2019. At only the third family event Katie attended, just two months into her relationship with Bryce, Mikayla’s kindness and openness made a lasting impression. Her lively personality and ability to engage in meaningful conversations always made Katie feel at ease and connected during family gatherings. Katie feels incredibly fortunate to have been embraced by Mikayla, whose love and care made her feel truly part of the family. When Katie moved to Pennsylvania, Mikayla made sure to check in regularly, offering support and joining her for hikes, strengthening their bond even further. Mikayla’s consistent care has brought so much joy to Katie, and she’s incredibly grateful to have her as a cherished friend and part of her family.

Mollie and Katie’s connection grew naturally from the moment they met during a memorable cousin rendezvous in 2019. Every time they saw each other, their conversations were filled with laughter, and Mollie’s down-to-earth and genuine presence always stood out. Whether they were catching up, attending family events, or participating in their cherished family book club with Mikayla, Mollie’s warmth and thoughtfulness were always evident. As Bryce’s cousin, Mollie’s unwavering support and care have brought immense joy to Katie’s life. When Katie moved to Pennsylvania, Mollie made it a priority to ensure she was settling in and feeling at home, offering encouragement and warmth. Mollie’s kindness and steadfast support have played a significant role in helping Katie adjust, and she’s deeply grateful to have Mollie as a close friend.

Luke, Bryce's little brother and best man, has been his steadfast companion since coming into the world in 2004. Their bond is a testament to brotherhood at its finest—they tackle life's challenges together, whether they're exploring trails on a hike, conquering video game quests, or simply being there as each other's biggest supporters. Luke brings unmatched energy and loyalty, making him the perfect choice for Bryce's best man. One of the most memorable moments for Luke was when they were fishing in Delaware, each holding the pole as they fought to reel in a big shark together. Although the line snapped, Luke cherished that experience, knowing it was one of the many shared adventures that strengthened their connection. Luke admires how Bryce has always been there for him, taking him under his wing and guiding him through life. He values their bond, knowing he can always rely on Bryce, just as Bryce can rely on him. Whether it’s sharing a laugh over a Magic: The Gathering mispronunciation of "vigilance" or being there for each other in more serious moments, Luke’s loyalty and love for his brother are unmatched.

Bryce and Bayly share a bond that runs deeper than just being cousins—they’ve grown up more like brothers. As the son of Bryce’s mom’s twin, Bayly has been a constant presence in Bryce’s life, shaping countless adventures and memories together. Their relationship is built on a dynamic of brains and brawn: Bryce’s talent for planning paired effortlessly with Bayly’s determination to see things through.

One unforgettable moment was the time they took a turn too fast in Bayly’s Buick Reatta, tilting the car onto two wheels. They slowed down, exchanged wide-eyed looks, and swore to keep the incident a secret from their parents—a perfect example of the mischief they often found themselves in. High school was filled with playful antics, from book-knocking to hallway pranks, turning even the most ordinary moments into endless laughter. Bryce and Bayly’s banter and friendly rivalry made every day an adventure, solidifying their bond.

Reflecting on their relationship, Bayly says, “I would not be the man I am today.” Bryce’s unwavering support, shared adventures, and brotherly influence have been instrumental in shaping Bayly’s character, leaving an indelible mark on his life.

Kyle has always cherished the bond he shares with Bryce, not just as cousins but as brothers and close friends. Some of his favorite memories include sledding together at Bryce’s parents’ house in the winter, setting out on countless hiking, fishing, and camping trips, and spending summers in Baltimore playing on the beach and catching crabs off the dock. Their Magic: The Gathering matches always kept things competitive—though Bryce somehow managed to win no matter what Kyle played.

Beyond the adventures, Kyle appreciates how they share so many similar hobbies, from playing Hearthlight to gaming and everything in between. No matter the situation, they can always make each other laugh, trading jokes that no one else seems to find quite as funny. Through every adventure, challenge, and friendly rivalry, their sibling-like connection has remained strong, making every moment together one to remember.

Tyler and Bryce’s friendship began in high school marching band, during a practice for The Incredibles formation. Tyler recalls meeting Bryce and Shawn when he kept bumping into them on the field—a playful start to what would become a lasting bond.

Their friendship has grown through countless adventures, including a road trip to visit Shawn, discovering Magic: The Gathering and hosting MTG nights, dining at the Rainforest Café in New Jersey, and sharing laughs during their Virginia Beach trip. Each memory reflects the fun and camaraderie they share.

What Tyler treasures most is the effortless comfort Bryce provides. Even after time apart, reconnecting always feels natural. “Whenever I hang with him, I feel safe to unwind and open up. It’s a special kind of peace only a great friend can provide,” Tyler says.

Their bond is built on trust, laughter, and the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime.

Shawn and Bryce’s friendship began in middle school but truly took off during their freshman year of high school on a band trip to Cleveland. That trip marked the start of a bond that would grow stronger through shared interests, adventures, and plenty of laughs.

Some of Shawn’s favorite memories with Bryce include their trip to Disney, where they brought along Nancy, a 6-foot inflatable shark that became an unforgettable part of the experience. Countless nights were spent playing Magic: The Gathering, a shared passion that deepened their connection. Another standout moment was drawing a map of Susquehanna University to navigate the campus together, turning what could have been a challenge into a fun and memorable experience.

Through it all, Shawn and Bryce’s friendship has been defined by their shared humor, creativity, and camaraderie, building a bond that continues to thrive over time.

Nic and Bryce’s story started freshman year, when Nic lived across the hall from Katie and was later placed in a chemistry lab group with her and Bryce. What began as hallway chats and shared assignments quickly grew into a close friendship. As semesters passed, Bryce and Nic took many of the same classes, becoming constant lab partners and spending countless late nights in the chem lounge writing reports, studying, and tackling homework side by side.

Eventually, Bryce and Nic became roommates, where their bond only deepened. After long evenings studying in the science building, they would play intense rounds of Mario Kart late at night with Katie and Rachael, filling the quiet halls with laughter. Back at the dorm, they gamed for hours, built legendary beeramid towers, and played pool whenever they needed a break. Through it all, Nic played a crucial role in Katie and Bryce’s relationship, offering steady support and encouragement that helped turn shared college moments into something lasting and meaningful.
