Our Wedding

As the wonderful year of 2020 wound down, both Katie and Kyle found themselves on dating apps, trying to find one final brightpoint in a long, long year. With only a few days left in the year, a match was made. Katie and Kyle both swiped right on the app Bumble. For those that don't know, on Bumble, the women must initiate&nbsp;the messages in the first 24 hours or the match disappears. With a busy day the afternoon they matched, time was running out on their match and still no message from Katie.&nbsp;Using a last ditch hail mary, Kyle used a feature to extend the match time another 24 hours with only a little time to spare. Soon after, Katie sent Kyle a message and the rest is history!

How we met: 

Kyle proposed on a big weekend in July for an event where he knew our families would be in town and I wouldn't be suspicious. His original plan was to propose the morning following the event but was too anxious and ended up surprising me at around midnight after I last minute remembered to take the dog out. He set up his phone and was on one knee when I walked into the house following our dog. It was absolutely perfect and completely US.

My long time best friend from elementary school. We have done EVERYTHING together. From school to traveling the world. I was her maid of honor at her wedding and now I get the honor of having her be my Matron of Honor!

He was a former ABC 27 sports anchor along with my dad. He joined the Mace family through work and became close with me along the way. Even after leaving ABC 27 we stayed close and now severs on the board of the Gregg Mace Foundation with me and my mom.

My sister is my Maid of Honor. She is three years younger than me but you wouldn't know it, HA! I am so excited to have her be by my side for all of this! Even from Chicago!

Zack and I met through the Hershey Bears while I was working for an outside blog and now we work closely as coworkers daily. You can find me constantly squatting in his office despite his request for peace and quiet. Chances are he will deny he's in the wedding party until the ceremony.

I have known Kristin since freshman year of high school! We have biology together and would chat up a storm. Eventually we became managers for the football team with our friend Brooke (also a bridesmaid) and spent every day after school together and most weekends! Going to a college 10 hours away from each other didn't hurt our friendship in anyway as she is the reason I moved to PA!

One of my friends I have known the longest. We met through my old blog going to Hershey Bears games. Later we became roommates in college and then coworkers in recent years.

We met sophomore year of high school in Chemistry. We got in trouble for talking too much almost every class. The following year was when she asked if I wanted to join her in managing the football team and we were inseparable ever since!

Brooke Nyren

Another Gregg Mace intern who I worked with on many projects with. He ended up working at ABC27 as well and the Maces managed to make him part of the family like many before him.

 I met Addy in a funny way through an old friend my senior year of high school, her sophomore year. She is so head strong and determined to crush everything she does it is truly inspiring!  I am thankful to have a friend like her.

We met in 2018 when Courtney was an intern for my dad. We quickly became partners in crime working sporting events and learning the industry together. She became the sister I never asked for but am so grateful I have.

I have known Mallory since birth. So, longer than I have technically known my sister! We grew up glued to the hip as our families spent summers and school breaks together. We have literally been planning this day for forever!

Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum

With a collection of more than 20,000 animals representing 700-plus species, Baltimore's National Aquarium&nbsp;is the city's most-visited attraction. Exhibits include a multi-story Atlantic coral reef, an open ocean shark tank, 4D immersion theater, tropical rainforest, a glass pavilion with Australian wildlife, and a mammal pavilion that holds Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.

National Aquarium

This two-pavilion complex in the Inner Harbor is full of retail and dining options. Both local and national businesses abound, including The Cheesecake Factory and H&amp;M. When the weather is nice, bands play along the waterfront. The mall is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Harborplace Mall

Power Plant Live!&nbsp;is an entertainment complex with bars, clubs, restaurants, and arts attractions, located two blocks north of the Inner Harbor. Although the children's museum Port Discovery is situated in the complex, Power Plant Live! really comes alive at night when all of Baltimore's young professionals come out to play. The complex also hosts a wealth of events, including concerts, food festivals, and bar crawls;&nbsp;<a href="https://www.powerplantlive.com/events" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">check the calendar</a>&nbsp;to see the most up-to-date schedule.
