"Our Engagement photos hold a special place in my heart! Ethan's sister Emma had come up for a visit and she and Ethan had told me that we would be taking family photos for their mom's Christmas card. At this point, I had a hunch what was happening, but continued to pray for if it was just family photos.
My best friend, Emma ( 2 Emmas can be confusing), came out to take pictures for us. We first took pictures by the water, the Emmas instructed Ethan and I on how to stand and pose. They both led us to a random path that I had never seen before, insisting that they thought this would be a good place for pictures. I have been to the Refuge enough times to know, either they were leading us into the woods down a random path to leave us or there would be a proposal at the end.
We walked down the path together, until you could see fairy lights sparkling in the distance. Ethan walked me to the lights, where there were pictures of us throughout our relationship set up. He proposed to me as the Emmas took our pictures. After saying yes, we looked around to see both of our sets of parents coming through the woods to celebrate with us! It was such a special moment to be all together, celebrating two families becoming one!
The night ended with an Engagement dinner with sweet friends and our families! It was a perfect night!"- Katie
