Cody and Katie knew each other from a young age and have been sweethearts ever since… just kidding we met on Tinder during the pandemic.

Our first date was at Bull Wings in Elk Grove. We instantly had a connection which included a lot of dry humor. After dinner the two of us spent all night, and early morning together before heading home. When Cody got up for work a few hours later, he told his mom “I just met the girl I’m going to marry”.

We spent the summer of 2021 (and every summer since) on bodies of water - Folsom Lake, the Sacramento River, Lake Shasta, and Geneganslet Lake in NY. Our joy comes in spending quality times with our family and friends. Family time typically includes boating, playing card games with Cody’s family, and going to Reid’s (Katie’s younger brother) baseball, basketball, and soccer games.

We also love traveling to sporting events, whether driving 15 minutes to Golden 1 Center to watch the Kings, or a couple hours to watch the 49ers or Giants play in the Bay Area.

In the summer of 2022 Cody, Katie, and our puppy Louie moved into a home in Sacramento, which has a long history with Katie’s family. In 2023 we added another puppy, Levi (named after the 49ers stadium) to our mini family.

In April 2024, Cody and Katie went on a “weekend getaway” with Cody’s brother, Tyler and his girlfriend, Olivia to Carmel, CA. With Katie’s family tucked away on Carmel beach, Cody dropped on a knee and asked Katie to marry him.

We hope to raise a family in the Sacramento area. But first and foremost, we look forward to tying the knot in July of 2025 with the people who are most important to both of us.
