Our Story

Though our first encounter dates back to 2014, it wasn’t until a few years later after college and a move from Kentucky to Georgia that our paths truly crossed. Alex became a regular at Fringe Salon, where Katie works, getting his hair cut every two weeks without fail. One afternoon, he spotted Katie across the salon through the mirror mid-haircut and immediately asked, “Who is she?!”, thus beginning the determined pursuit of the beautiful and gracious Miss Katie. After some time (and plenty of convincing), Katie finally gave Alex a shot. We've been together since October 10, 2021, building a life filled with laughter, faith, and adventure. Alex proposed in Charleston, South Carolina, with an elaborate surprise that included our closest friends. What Katie thought was just a casual weekend getaway turned into a moment we’ll never forget. From shopping downtown to a “detour” through Hampton Park, everything was orchestrated to perfection. With white rose petals marking the spot and our best friends secretly waiting nearby, Alex got down on one knee, completely shocking Katie. It was the sweetest surprise, made even more special by the incredible friends who were there to celebrate with us. We are beyond grateful for the love and support surrounding our journey and can’t wait for what’s to come.

Can I Bring a Guest / Date?

We kindly ask that only those named on your wedding invitation attend. If you received a plus one, please be sure to include their full name and entrée selection on your RSVP.

Are Kids Allowed?

We have decided to keep our wedding adults only with the exception of those included in the bride and groom's wedding party. We encourage you to use this as a date night to get out and have some fun!

What is the Dress Code?

We are so excited to celebrate with you and would love to see everyone looking stylish for the occasion! The dress code is Cocktail Attire. For women, this means chic cocktail or midi dresses, and for men, suits or dressy separates are perfect. Feel free to have fun with color, just please avoid wearing white or denim.

Can I Take Photos / Videos During the Ceremony?

We have hired an amazing photographer named Brittany, and she will be there to capture all the moments of the ceremony! We do kindly ask that phones be put away during the ceremony portion of the evening. Feel free to take as many photos and videos once the ceremony has concluded, the bride and groom have exited, and cocktail hour has begun.

Is the Venue Indoor or Outdoor?

Rocky's Lake Estate offers the best of both! Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place outdoors by the lake in front of the beautiful gazebo. Cocktail hour will also take place outdoors while dinner and reception will be held in the estates covered, climate controlled pavilion, so you will be comfortable no matter what the weather brings. In case of rain, there is an alternate indoor space for our ceremony.

Will there be shuttle transportation from the parking lot to the ceremony area for guests who need assistance?

Yes. A shuttle will be available to assist guests who need transportation from the parking area to the ceremony site. If you or someone in your party requires this accommodation, please let an attendant know upon arrival, and they will be happy to assist.

When Should I RSVP?

You can RSVP as soon as you would like! Please make sure to RSVP "Yes" or "No" by April 30, 2026. This allows us to give our vendors a correct count prior to the wedding.

When Should I Arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. We encourage guests to arrive at 4:30 PM to allow plenty of time for parking and seating. Please note that the venue gates will open at 4:30 PM and cannot accommodate earlier arrivals. To help keep the ceremony uninterrupted, guests who arrive after the start time will be kindly asked to wait outside the ceremony area.

Due to the FIFA World Cup events taking place in Atlanta this summer, nearby hotels were unable to offer traditional room blocks for our wedding weekend. As a result, we kindly encourage our guests to book accommodations as early as possible to ensure availability and preferred rates.
