Things to Do

- Sullivans Island Beach: This is the closest beach to where you are likely staying. My personal favorite, this beach is vast with dolphins, sanddollars, and mellow waves.

- Folly Beach: Located on James Island, follow feels like that surfer beach town and is great for hunting for shark teeth, shells, and trying your hand at surfing!

- Morris Lighthouse: If you head to Folly Beach, you have to check out this spot. It is truly so beautiful and one of my favorite spots! P.S: To get here, there is about a half a mile walk from where you park.

·- The Battery: This is a walkway along the water with the most beautiful homes! We love to walk here with Denver, grab a coffee, and set up a picnic blanket.

- Rainbow Row and Waterfront Park are two common tourist stops! They are quick to drive by or stop and walk, but I recommend continuing your walk deeper into some of those small neighborhoods to see some charming homes.

- Walking the Ravenel Bridge: Grab your walking buddy and head over the big bridge! There isn't a much better view in town, and this spot is walkable from your hotel.

- Cypress Gardens: This is another one of my favorites and where the notebook was filmed. It costs $10 per car and is a bit outside of town, but you can hop in a canoe and have the most beautiful experience!

- Shem Creek: Right by our wedding venue, Shem Creek is a great place to kayak, see dolphins, or enjoy waterfront restaurants and bars.

- The city market has local vendors selling their art daily! A beautiful stroll with a handful of the dessert bars nearby.

- Every Sunday there is a farmers market downtown near Hotel Bennett. There is music, food, produce, jewelry, and everything in between!

- Shop till you drop! King Street is our go to.

- The Daniel Island Ferry is affordable and a great tour of the town.

- If you were hopping to find your zen while you are here, Serenity Tree Yoga offers donation based beach yoga almost everyday! Check out their instagram to see where they are at while you are here.

- If you have kids, the children's museum and aquarium are a bunch of fun! You can also rent bikes or water toys to take out to the beach.
