How do I RSVP?

Go to the RSVP tab or RSVP button on the home page of this website. When RSVPing, it will ask you a series of questions. Please indicate which events as part of the wedding day you'll be attending and if you are bringing a guest. If you are bringing a guest, put their name in.

Will the wedding be located all at one venue?

No. The ceremony will be held on the Kurt/Hill family property in Union Grove. The cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will be held at County Line Hall, an approx. 12 min drive away in Union Grove.

How do I know I'm at the right ceremony location (Kurt/Hill Family Land)?

Once you arrive, there will be signage outside of the driveway you are supposed to pull into. The driveway to pull into is the address of 16611 Washington Avenue (Jordan and Sara's house). The other driveway close by with an address of 16519 Washington Avenue (Ken and Michelle's house) will be blocked by cones. Ushers will be there to guide and organize the parking. Carpool to the ceremony if you can. We are planning for a lot of cars but space is limited, so it would help if you carpooled. If we run out of parking on the land itself, you will have to park on the side of Washington Ave in Union Grove. To summarize, Ken and Michelle, and Jordan and Sara are technically neighbors, but there is a lot of land between their houses and that is where our ceremony will take place.

What will the parking situation look like at the ceremony venue (Kurt/Hill Family Land)?

Ushers will help organize and guide you to park in the right places. Carpool to the ceremony if you can. We are planning for a lot of cars but space is limited, so it would help if you carpooled. If we run out of parking on the land itself, you will have to park on the side of Washington Ave in Union Grove.

What is everyone wearing?

If you are attending the ceremony, please dress accordingly for the outdoors with a chance of rain. We recommend wearing flat or low-heeled shoes, as the event will be held on grass. For the event as a whole, semi-formal to formal wear is preferred. Choose apparel options that you would for a typical wedding. Jeans are ok. We are in Union Grove and we care more about your presence :)

Will there be an open bar?

Yes. Make sure to still bring cash so you can tip the bartenders.

Will there be a cash bar? Or will the bar take cards?

The bar will be open so the only cash needed will be to provide tips to the bartenders. We ask that you put cash in the tip jar for the bartender.

Will there be appetizers during the cocktail hour?

Yes.

What will dinner be like?

We will have BBQ catered for the wedding with servers staffed for the buffet on-site. Food will be served buffet style. We will be running two buffet tables to cut down on the serving time. Seconds are welcome and encouraged!

What's for dessert?

The bride and groom will have a small cake for cake-cutting and photos. The rest of the guests will have cupcakes to choose from for dessert. Dessert is serve-yourself after dinner.

How far is the ceremony venue (Kurt/Hill family property) from the reception venue (County Line Hall)?

Approx. 12 min drive.

How far is the reception venue (County Line Hall) from the hotels (Holiday Inn, etc)?

Approx. 12 min drive. We encourage Uber or Lyft rides if you've had a little too much fun by the end of the night.

What time do we leave for the night, or what time is the reception venue closed?

Last call for alcohol is 11pm. Doors to the venue close at midnight, at which time everyone must be out.

Where are the hotel room blocks?

We have blocked off two hotels with discounted rates for our wedding, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and the Country Inn & Suites, both located by I-94 in Mt. Pleasant, an approximate 12 min drive from the reception venue. If you only need a one-night stay, you can modify the booking link by choosing to check in Saturday, June 14, 2025 and check out Sunday, June 15, 2025. The hotel booking links automatically are set for checking in Friday, June 13, 2025 and checking out Sunday, June 15, 2025. See the Hotels & Travel tab for the cutoff dates and links to book your room.

Are children allowed?

We would love to see all your little loved one's smiling faces. However, we have only invited children who will be in the immediate wedding party. Thank you for understanding.

What if I have a plus one or significant other and "Guest" wasn't listed on the wedding invitation?

Reach out to Lukas or Katie. We'd be happy to accommodate if it makes sense and wouldn't want to accidentally leave anyone out! Please also indicate you'll be bringing a guest when RSVPing and put their name in.

Who is attending the rehearsal dinner/cookout on Friday night?

Although we'd love to party with everyone for two nights in a row, we've reserved the rehearsal dinner/cookout on Friday for wedding party and their significant others only. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
