Katie and Marco officially remember meeting over Labor Day weekend in 2022. By September 20th—Katie’s birthday—Marco added her on Snapchat while she was at the boat races with Emma. Just a couple of days later, Katie returned home from San Angelo. Coincidentally, Marco was helping the Whites move furniture that day, and of course, Katie jumped right in to help too.

That moment sparked a small but sweet friendship. About two weeks later, Marco informed Katie that she was too old for him. Though a little hurt, Katie knew he’d eventually come to his senses.

Sure enough, they kept talking and even went out dancing a few times. They got to know each other, learned about themselves, and slowly, something more began to grow. By February 4, 2023, Marco made it official—they were a couple.

Over time, they shared laughter, space, friends, family, and lots of adventures. Then in October 2024, Marco and Katie took the next step—she moved in with him and Raul. Nine months later, he proposed to the love of his life.
