Welcome to Our Wedding Adventure! 🇮🇹✨ We’re so excited to be getting married in Tuscany, Italy, and even more excited to spend an unforgettable week with our favorite people from May 5–10, 2026! 💍 The wedding itself will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026. This website is your go-to guide for everything you need to know — from travel and transportation to meals, accommodations, and more. It’s a lot of information (we know!), but it’s here to help you plan and feel totally prepared. All costs, details, and logistics are outlined in the tabs above — and if you still have questions after reading through, just reach out! Our Wedding

Our journey together began in the fall of 2019. Katie was in her first year of vet school at the University of Georgia, while Michael had just returned to Athens to pursue his master’s degree after a year of working at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Our first date was unforgettable – we saw a Beatles cover band, Abbey Road Live, at the Georgia Theater, and we immediately clicked! From that night on, we knew we had something special. We navigated the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, the rigors of vet school, and moving in together. Michael already had two wonderful dogs, Remington and Aja, and we later added Charlotte, a corgi, to complete our little family. These experiences strengthened our bond and confirmed that we were truly best friends and life partners. After graduating from vet school and completing the master's degree, we moved to Bluffton, South Carolina. Katie is now an associate veterinarian in general practice, and Michael has been recently launched a coffee catering business! In the spring of 2024, Michael proposed during a magical Disney cruise in the Bahamas. It was a moment straight out of a fairytale, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start this new chapter of our lives. We are excited to celebrate our love with a wedding in beautiful Tuscany, Italy, in May 2026. We can’t wait to share this special day with our family and friends and begin our happily ever after!

Villa Boscarello and La Selva

We are so excited to be staying at a beautiful villa in the Tuscan countryside for the week of the wedding — and we’d love for our guests who are joining us for the full trip to stay with us at the villa! The cost of the villa is covered by us, so if you're with us for the full time, your accommodations are completely taken care of — our gift to you! Just a heads up: the villa is deep in the countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and gorgeous views — but not much else. There are no walkable restaurants, and rideshares like Uber and Lyft are not available in the area. That means if you’re staying with us, we highly encourage you to join the group activities and excursions we’re organizing throughout the week — otherwise, you might find yourself feeling a little isolated (and very bored). If you’re only able to come for a few days or just for the wedding day itself, you’ll need to book your own accommodations nearby. We can share hotel recommendations to make that as easy as possible. For those staying with us at the villa, we’ll be assigning rooms in advance. We’ve personally toured the property and can promise that every room is beautiful — you’ll be comfortable and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We can’t wait to spend this special week together and will be sharing more travel and itinerary details soon!

Costs and Payment

We are so excited to officially share the loose itinerary for our wedding trip to Tuscany in May 2026! We cannot wait to celebrate with you in the most beautiful place, and we want you to feel prepared, relaxed, and hyped for the adventure ahead.

Please plan to depart the USA by May 4th, 2026 so that you can arrive at Florence Airport (FLR) by May 5th, before 12:00 PM.Our group shuttle will leave the airport at 12:00 PM sharp on May 5th. If your flight lands later than that, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation to the villa.The shuttle will make a pit stop for lunch (TBD) so we can eat, stretch our legs, and meet each other before arriving at the villa.Villa check-in is late afternoon. After settling in, we’ll have a casual evening together, with dinner around 8:00 PM.

May 5th - Arrival Day

Breakfast at the villa, shuttle departs ~9:30 AM.Explore Siena on your own: wander Piazza del Campo, the cathedral, shops, or La Lizza Market.Optional: join our amazing friend &amp; guide Julie for a Contrada tour (a unique peek into Siena’s famous horse-racing neighborhoods).Lunch is on your own – bring euros or a card (note: not all places accept AmEx). You’ll find everything from cozy trattorias to quick slices of pizza.Shuttle back by ~6:30 PM. Dinner at the villa.

May 6 – Siena Day Trip

Breakfast at the villa.Morning visit to Pienza, a charming hilltop town with cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and panoramic Tuscan views.Lunch at Podere il Casale, a stunning farm-to-table spot known for their incredible cheese and fresh food (plus adorable baby goats and animals 🐐).Return to the villa after lunch to relax.Dinner at the villa – this will also be our rehearsal dinner, and of course everyone is welcome to participate! Followed by a DJ and dancing! 🎶

May 7 – Pienza & Podere il Casale

A relaxing day at the villa: enjoy the pool, the views, and time together.Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided at the villa.Then the main event: our wedding celebration! 🥂💍✨ Dress Code: Tuscan Formal *Think elevated and elegant, in a way that suits a spring evening in Tuscany. *Women: Tea-length, midi, or long dresses*Men: Suits + tie/ bowtie (linen or lighter colors welcome)

May 8 – Wedding Day!

Breakfast at the villa, shuttle departs ~9:30 AM.Explore Florence at your own pace or with the group. Don’t miss the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Gucci Museum, or just wandering the markets and cafés.Lunch is on your own (again, bring euros or a card).Dinner at the villa after we return. Note on flights: If you’re considering a super early flight (like 9:00 AM) out of Florence, you’ll need a Florence hotel the night before. From our experience, early mornings at FLR are stressful and chaotic, and hotels add up. Honestly, it’s usually easier and less expensive to just book a slightly later flight.

May 9 – Florence Day Trip

Breakfast at the villa.Shuttle leaves by 8:00 AM.The earliest flight we feel comfortable with is 12:00 PM or later, since it takes ~1 hour 45 minutes to get to the airport plus time for security.
