We technically knew of each other for a while — my brother married her best friend — but we had never really talked. I might have messaged Katie twice (with no luck), so I figured that was that. It wasn’t until Katie messaged me out of the blue to go to Topgolf that our story truly began. What started as a slightly awkward first date quickly turned into hours of effortless conversation and laughter. From there, love grew naturally — built on deep friendship, trust, and the comfort of feeling completely at home with one another. I proposed during a snowy evening in Breckenridge, CO surrounded by twinkling lights and fresh mountain air, and Katie said yes.
