With the exception of our family and bridal party, we have decided to have our wedding be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to celebrate our big day with us!
Ron and I officially met on December 31, 2023—but our story truly began months before. I had noticed him around town and at church, always taking a second glance because, well, he’s pretty easy on the eyes. Secretly hoping we’d cross paths; we never quite did. I even mentioned the cute, mysterious guy to my friends, and together, we decided I’d take a chance, shoot my shot, and send him a friend request on social media. Friend request sent… friend request accepted. And then—nothing!
A few months passed, and though we saw each other a couple of times, he never said hello. I chalked it up as a loss.
Fast forward to New Year’s Eve. After church, I stopped by the grocery store to grab a few things. As I stood in the meat aisle, debating what to meal prep for the week, I looked up—and there he was. My first instinct? Panic and run. Instead, I nervously started tossing random items into my cart. I’m fairly certain some of those items are still sitting in my freezer—haha! But somehow, I found myself walking toward him and introducing myself.
That quick conversation in the grocery store led to him reaching out on social media a few days later for my number. Five days after that, we went on our first date—and the rest is history.
Unbeknownst to me, a little seed had been planted before we ever met. My sister knew his mom, and they had exchanged a few texts about us and our relationship statuses. So, maybe it was fate… or maybe just a little matchmaking magic. Either way, I couldn’t be more grateful that our paths finally aligned.
