Our Wedding

Katie and Brad first met via dating app in September 2020 -- right in the middle of the pandemic -- and, honestly, didn't hit it off. Despite a beautiful first date at Cafe Amalfi in the North End of Boston, Katie and Brad needed a few years of being neighbors and seeing each other around the neighborhood before they started dating in earnest. During Brad's "Boston bucket list" as he prepared to move away to New York City in April 2022, Brad took Katie to a Sinatra-themed night in Southie, and they fell in love HARD (Sinatra will do that to you). After a year and a half of dating between Boston and New York, Katie moved to NYC to join Brad. Brad proposed in Amalfi, Italy in October 2024. Katie and Brad got married in April 2025 in a small ceremony to ensure her grandparents were in attendance. The September 2026 event is a renewal of those vows and a celebration with all friends and family.

Bring your best formal wear! Not quite black tie, no tux required.Additionally, the ceremony and portions of the evening will take place outdoors, so we recommend comfortable shoes suitable for garden paths and grass.In the event of rain, the ceremony will move to an indoor location at Snug Harbor. However, if there is a small drizzle, we will still be having the ceremony outside, goshdarnit. We will provide umbrellas.

WHERE TO STAY

For convenience, we have reserved a hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island. If that's the case, we may be able to ask for additional rooms. The shuttle will bring guests to the ceremony and return to the hotel after the reception. Additional details about shuttle timing will be shared closer to the wedding date. There are some other hotel options in Staten Island, and some guests may prefer to stay in Manhattan or Brooklyn and travel to the wedding. If you prefer to stay elsewhere in New York City, Uber or Lyft are also convenient options for getting to Snug Harbor.

Located minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport as well as the attractions of central Manhattan, this Staten Island hotel offers exceptional facilities and service along with many modern amenities. The hotel also features an on-site restaurant, offering award-winning cuisine and Broadway-style entertainment. Spacious meeting and banquet facilities are also located on-site. Many area motorways are located close to the Staten Island Hilton Garden, allowing guests to discover the surrounding areas. There are a number of parks as well as a wildlife preserve located nearby.

GETTING BACK AFTER THE WEDDING

If you are not taking the shuttle, the easiest way to leave the venue is by Uber or Lyft.If you are returning to Manhattan, you can take the Staten Island Ferry from the St. George Ferry Terminal, which is about a 10-minute drive from Snug Harbor. The ferry runs regularly and is free. For guests staying in Manhattan or Brooklyn, rideshare services are usually the most convenient late in the evening.
