This was when I met Jared on the cardiac step down unit, he was on night shift and I was on days. All I remember thinking is just how cute he was! I enlisted my friend Cadi to help me find his instagram, and I did! Sadly he had just left for a travel contract in Indiana! However, this was just the start to our story!

The first couple of times of us hanging out! I picked Jared up for a late night Whata run after he finished gaming with the boys!

A few days before Jared asked me to be his girlfriend, we hung out so I could take a break from schoolwork. Jared took this cute photo, and while I loved it he hated it!

Jared asked me to be his girlfriend with the most beautiful carnation and eucalyptus bouquet. He heard me mention how much I loved carnations and eucalyptus and went to the florist for this beautiful flower arrangement! I obviously said yes!

A day trip to magnolia, such a beautiful day with perfect weather. While she won't admit it, I beat her in corn hole!

Our very first hike together! Our first of many! This is very special to us now as Crockett Garden Falls has since collapsed. We were blessed to see this before it fell!

Celebrating Katie's 21st birthday, unfortunately I worked on her birthday so we had to celebrate a little late! None the less, this was a great day!

I got my very own new tent for my birthday! Jared helped me set it up so we could see what it was like! This sparked my idea for a great road trip for my last spring break!

We attended our first wedding together where I was the best man! It was great celebrating our friends Tyler and Valerie and we could not have been happier for them! Gave me a few ideas that maybe I should put a ring on Katie's finger!

Jared took some time for a quality date night to learn how to cook my famous homemade fried chicken! A sweet date night that we both appreciated! We learned a thing or two about each other, and learned a greater appreciation for the things we do for each other!

Katie got her college class ring! A great celebration, genuinely so proud to have seen the progress she has made through her nursing program! The first of multiple rings to come ;)!

Our first Halloween costumes together. Katie had so many different ideas of what we should be, on the spur of the moment we chose to be a cop and a prisoner! It was such a great costume for the both of us!

We finally visited our first National Monument together and were able to get a stamp for Katie's passport! We enjoyed getting to explore this area and we are so excited for the future of our trips to National Monuments and Parks!

We celebrate our very first Christmas together and made the best of the first of many split Christmas'! We loved every second of family time, this is a particularly special memory. Jared met my Great Grandpa Papa Bill, he passed in February of 2023 at 103, so it was very special Jared was able to meet him!

A celebration of Cadi's wedding as Katie was the Maid of Honor. What an amazing day to celebrate the joining of two special people!

Our first out of state trip and flying together! I had the opportunity to show Jared New York City, he still stuck with me even after we walked 13 miles on the last day!

The Brooklyn Bridge! This was one of my favorite things that Katie showed me on this trip! It was a walk filled with incredible sites and lots of spilled coffee. Ask Katie about the coffee later! ;)

After what felt like the longest drive of our lives we finally made it to Colorado! Katie has no idea this trip was going to be a very special one!

Our first National Park together! If you know me then you know how much I love National Parks, getting to share my love for beautiful nature with Jared was amazing!

Two in one day?! Yes, we packed in a whole lot this trip! Arches has always been my favorite National Park, after this trip there is no denying it will stay number one!

When Hank told me that Katie loved sand, I never realized just how much she loved it. Even so much she had me hike through a half a mile of it just to see this Arch! But it was a pretty neat thing to see!

While taking Katie's senior photos her photographer, Claire Coddling, set me up for the perfect moment. Katie had no idea this was coming, the genuine shock on her face was something I will always cherish. She had no idea that Claire and I had been planning this for weeks.

After the shock, tears, and excitement, Claire had us hike up into Turret Arch and she took this photo that is my absolute favorite. I love this day more than anything!

We are finally engaged, and we are so excited planning for our special day! We are beyond excited for the adventures that are to come, and so thrilled for those joining us on our special day!

Katie graduated nursing school and we are packing up to move!! Nervous, excited, and a little sad! We are going to miss Texas and all of our family and friends.

We are moved in to our first apartment together in Utah! Holy cow we finally made it! After two long days of driving we are moved in!

I said yes to the dress! I can not wait for Jared to see it!
