It all started with a swipe, not the most romantic but hey, it was the middle of a pandemic. After that there were several weeks of messaging back and fourth until Jon finally asked Katie on a date to a brewery, (which would soon turn into a regular hang out for them.) Two days later Katie agreed to a hike in the Siuslaw National Forest, on the Oregon Coast, which was the first of many adventures they would go on that summer; from camping trips with Jon's Family to a trip the Tetons for a wedding, Katie was always down for an adventure and Jon knew she was the one .

Over the last several years, adopting a handsome pup named Lewis, Jon spending almost a year out of town for work, buying a house and now planning a wedding one thing that hasn't changed is their love and appreciation for each other and of course a good spontaneous adventure.
