Our story began like most modern day love stories do... with a dating app. After years of putting it off and hoping to meet someone "organically" (whatever that means) I finally decided it was time get myself out there and date. I wasn't expecting to meet anyone worthwhile, and after a few lousy, awkward dates, I was about ready to pause my endeavors, then came Theo...

One thing led to another and after a couple weeks of talking, I decided it was time to pose a challenge to one of his profile points: "I know the best place in town for Greek food".... turns out he does. Our first date was the best date I have ever been on, and it wasn't just because of the delicious Greek food. I felt instantly comfortable in Theo's presence. Everything after that has fallen so beautifully into place.

Theo is the perfect compliment to me in every way, he challenges my incredible Kohnen impatience, he lightens my mood when I am taking things too seriously, and he is always ready to have fun together!

I can truly say that he was worth the wait. He is beyond my wildest dreams and I can't believe how much God has blessed me with him. It's an incredible feeling to know I am living in the moments I have dreamed about my whole life.

Our story began where any Greek in Minneapolis knows... It’s Greek to Me. After matching on Hinge and talking with Katie for a couple of weeks, I told her I knew the best place in town for Greek food and I was able to convince her to go with me.

Other than me showing up late, due to the Lyndale Ave and Lake Street traffic light, it was easily the best first date I had been on. I did not know if it was the food or the conversation that Katie enjoyed most, but the rest is history!

There is truly nothing Katie cannot handle, especially when it comes to dealing with me and my Greek family (haha). She is always challenging me to be a better man and helps give me confidence in the areas I need it (God knows there are a lot of them). However, most importantly, Katie challenges me to be a better Orthodox Christian. I am so grateful she said “Yes” to being with me, and I cannot wait to continue to make lifelong memories with her. God certainly has blessed me with the perfect partner to take this next journey in our lives together.

We are extremely excited to be able to spend our wedding ceremony and reception with all our family and friends this summer!
