Bobby's Version

We met the same way a lot of people met During Covid in 2022, through a dating App! It wasn't as easy as it sounds though, Katie was not that interested in me within the first few messages. I really had to put in some effort to get her to pay attention to me. I sent her funny GIF's and tried to be my charming self but our first conversation ended after only a handful of messages and then we didn't talk for a few days. I was determined though and tried again because she looked to beautiful in her profile pictures and I didn't want to let someone as attractive as her slip through my fingers. I knew pursing after he would be a challenging relationship because she was moving back to New York shortly after our first date but that's all it took for me to think she was the one for me. All I wanted to do was talk to her and listen to her voice, she was, and still is, the most amazing woman I have ever talked to. I'm glad she is the person I will be spending the rest of my life with because she is just perfect. Also, she is much better at keeping track of dates and other things because of how forgetful I am and planning this wedding has been a lot easier because of that.

Katie's Version

In my version (the correct one), we met in October 2021 :) I was getting ready to move back to New York after 7 years of living in Cleveland. While procrastinating packing up all of the yarn and other stuff I ordered online due to living-alone-during-Covid boredom, I figured I'd see what was up on Facebook Dating, with no intention or expectation of actually meeting anyone. (Let alone my future HUSBAND. 😂) Bobby saw my picture and was immediately obsessed with me, which is all I've ever wanted in life. His first message to me was actually a gif of the teddy bear from the movie Ted saying "WOW" LOL. I do remember some dull back and forth messages about TV shows and what not, but Bobby is being dramatic. He didn’t have to work THAT hard (see above note about his first message to me). Before we met in person, I told Bobby I was moving in the next few weeks, so we can go on a date but don't fall in love with me because I'm leaving. I'm glad he didn't listen! After I moved back to NY, we texted and talked on the phone all the time. Fast forward to now, June 2024, and 24 Ohio trips for Katie, 8 NY trips for Bobby (yeah I kept track, and I won), 9 weekend trips to Erie, PA to meet in the middle, and probably thousands of hours of phone calls later, we are just a few weeks away from finally living in the same state! We are so excited to start our life together and can’t wait for April 25, 2025 to make it official! 🥰
