Mitch and I met on April 18,2021 but we had been talking for about a month prior on "Facebook dating". For myself, I was very skeptical of this and had not had much luck in the online dating world, and Mitch was just putting himself back out there after taking some time for himself. I was also worried because as everyone will admit for me, I had never had a thing for a man with a beard and I was very overwhelmed with it but he was everything I wanted to I listened to the advice and took the change. We would talk every single day until Mitch would go to work and have to shut off his phone. When we decided to meet up I knew I wanted him to also meet Haylee (our doggie) and get to know her so he offered to meet us at Missisquoi Rail Trail in Swanton, and that's exactly what we did. We walked for a couple hours and almost 5 miles one day, talking, holding onto each other, and getting to know each other face to face. I knew for myself at least this was a love I had never known before and I felt it the instant he grabbed my hand. We stood on the bridge after for awhile just embraced in each others arms wrapping up the moment. We went to leave, and I admittedly went in for a kiss even though he was much taller than me so it seemed more aggressive than it was. As I was driving back home, I got a text from him "wow", even though I thought I had ruined it. From that day, he came over daily for breakfast and on April 21st, 2021 while he was putting his lunch in the freezer he told me he didn't want to wait any longer and asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a feeling I hadn't felt it such a long time.
About a month later we decided we wanted to do something to meet each other's parents so we set up a get together with each of them. The night after he met my family, we were laying down and I knew that I felt some type of way about him even though it had been barely a month...I closed my eyes and told him "I love you", and he said it right back. I hate to admit that I was the first one, but I knew I loved him right when we met.
From there we have been on so many adventures including our summer vacations to Lake George, Maine, Colorado which all were so amazing and beautiful spending time with people we love and each other. From anniversaries in Burlington, Boston and then Montreal (For the epic one). I have to also admit whenever Mitch would ask me what I wanted for Christmas, Bdays or any holiday I would say "a ring", it's all I ever wanted from the day I set eyes on him.
Our love story is truly one of the most magical adventures my life has taken me on. We never argue or get upset with each other and we discuss things openly even when its difficult. We have already been through so much in the last 3 years, but as Mitch always tells me as long as we are together we can get through anything and I truly believe that. We laugh all the time, make funny inside joke or phrases that make us look insane, but when I cry he is there for me no matter what. Mitch is my soulmate, and my life and I wouldn't imagine marrying anyone else.
This is the short of our story, but here's the preview of our forever, I hope you stay along for our journey!
To always and forever with the love of my life!
