Our story began back in 2012, which was our junior year of high school! Jake decided to put flowers, Reese's, and a note on the windshield of Katie's car asking her to the Homecoming Dance. Fast forward a couple of weeks to October 6th, 2012, and Jake asked Katie to be his girlfriend while they were at Cool Creek Park. High school graduation came and Jake went off to Indiana University, while Katie went to Hanover College. After some ups and downs, we found our way back to each other our junior year of college. Graduation could not come fast enough so we could finally put an end to long distance!

About 1.5 years' after graduation, we went on a trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Another October 6th came around (7 years later) and we went on a hike in Sedona. Instead of Jake asking Katie to be his girlfriend, this time he asked her to be his future wife. Jake couldn't get off his knee fast enough and Katie couldn't say "yes" fast enough! It came full circle and we could not be happier. The rest is history!
