Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited space at the venue, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they'll be specifically addressed within the subject line of the invitation and listed when you RSVP. Otherwise, we ask that only the named people in your invitation are in attendance.
If you RSVP you will be attending, you can indicate if you would like to request a guest. Please note that we will take this into consideration but it is not a guarantee.
Thank you for your understanding.
Are children welcome?
As much as we love your human and fur children, our wedding is exclusively for adults, with the exception of a few immediate family who are part of our wedding party.
We hope you can use this time as a fun evening out!
Give your nuggets a hug and kiss for us!
Is the wedding outside?
The ceremony and reception are indoors. There are some covered balcony and patio areas for an outdoor vibe with overhead coverage. Weather fluctuates in Florida, so please check the weather forecast, be sure to dress appropriately, and keep hydrated throughout the day.
Is there parking?
Yes! There is parking around the perimeter of the venue building. While this area is free parking, it is on a first-come first-serve basis and there are other companies/patrons in the building the venue is located. There is also street parking available and some pay-for parking around the venue and beach.
If you need to leave your vehicle overnight at Blue Jay in order to arrive safely to your evening destination, please do so.
Is the venue ADA accessible?
Blue Jay Listening Room is located on the 2nd floor of a plaza. Unfortunately, there is no elevator to access the 2nd floor. There are stairs located throughout the plaza.
If you need accessibility accommodations, please contact Katie and Joe so we can explore securing accessibility options.
We plan to have some seating options available during the ceremony and reception. However, due to the intimate space and desire for a thriving dance floor, it will be standing room and high-top tables for a majority of guests. We encourage you to bring your comfortable dancing shoes!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask that you kindly put your phone and cameras away during the ceremony, as we want you all to be present with us in this special moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us.
Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! There will be wine, beer, and wine/beer cocktails available during happy hour, dinner, and the reception.
We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us.
Please drink responsibly!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive at Blue Jay Listening Room (located on the 2nd floor of the Plaza) around 4:30pm to allow ample time for parking and getting situated before the ceremony begins at 5:00pm.
What is the dress code?
We do not have a specific dress code! We want you to feel comfortable and confident in what you wear! We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes in case you would like to join the bride and groom on the dance floor!
Check out pictures and videos of Blue Jay Listening Room to get a better understanding of the venue’s vibe. It’s incredible!
If you reallyyyyy need a dress code buzzword “vibe”, think cocktail or semi-formal.
Do you have reserved lodging blocks?
Due to the vast array of lodging options available around Jacksonville, we do not have reserved room blocks. Please let us know if you would like any recommendations of where to stay around Jacksonville and/or Jacksonville Beach!
When should I RSVP by?
To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as you receive the invitation.
If we don't receive your RSVP, we cannot make exceptions and we will have to mark you as 'no'. We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you can understand.
Who should I contact if I have any additional questions?
The bride and groom! Shoot us a text, give us a call, send us an email, mail us a letter...aka, any which way you feel comfortable communicating your questions or needs.
