Sunny Slope Farm was founded in 1780 and became a working dairy farm in the late 1940's by the Cole family. John Puleo purchased the property in the early 1990's. Currently, the farm is owned by Jane Burnett and John Puleo. Many renovation projects have kept the couple busy over the years, to include, pond restorations, barn renovations, and raising beef cattle.
What is appropriate attire for the venue?
Spring cocktail party attire is appropriate. This is a farm venue with uneven ground. Chunky heals that are good in grass or cowgirl boots encouraged.
Is the wedding inside or out?
Weather permitting the ceremony will be outside on the lawn, and the reception will be under a tent. If the weather doesn't cooperate we have alternate plans, but still on the farm.
Have you blocked hotel rooms?
We were able to secure a small block of rooms. See Travel Page. There are number of hotels in the Leesburg area, and a number of air B&Bs to choose from.
Will there be shuttle from hotels to venue?
No, we will not be having a shuttle from the hotels. We recommend using UBER if you plan to partake in alcoholic beverages.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We will serve a variety of food selections to accommodate a number of eating styles. We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a selection of proteins and vegetables.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar with beer, wine and a selection of mixed drinks will be available.
