A brisk, fall evening abound with hopeless romantics in the city of Boston set the scene for the beginning of the rest of our lives. If one small detail in the chain of events leading up to our meeting had been any different, it is extremely unlikely you would be reading this right now. Nick had made plans to go out with some friends after a concert.&nbsp;Destination: unknown. Katie had made plans to visit her college roommate, Kelly, for the weekend&nbsp;but missed her flight over her extreme indecisiveness over what to pack for fall weather in New England. Behavior:&nbsp;typical.&nbsp;She decided to pay for the next available flight. Mutual friends are what brought us together at the same Boston bar, on the same night. After entering the establishment that Nick’s group had claimed for the night, Katie and co. paraded around the bar as if to announce their arrival. One girl in particular caught Nick’s eye, and lucky for him, she was in the mutual friends’ group. The first introduction between us occurred here. The first awkward conversation. The first laughs. The last Bud Lights. If we only knew what this was leading to &hellip;



When Katie left the bar that night, Nick texted a friend that he just&nbsp;met the girl of his dreams (yes, there is proof!). Our interaction on that Friday night was so pure and genuine that it kept us lusting for more. Nick &nbsp;left the city on Saturday to celebrate his mom’s birthday at home and had planned to stay there for the rest of the weekend. When Katie texted Nick wondering what he&nbsp;was doing Saturday night, the last night she would be in Boston, Nick had a difficult decision to make. Needless to say he was back in his car after the candles were blown out. It was the second date in as many days, but this time it was a one-on-one, “Bachelor”-esque style but without the private jets, fine wine, and surprise musical guests. We really got to know each other on this night, not knowing if we’d ever see each other again. 

 





















When we said our final goodbyes that weekend, we knew we had entered each other’s’ lives for a reason. Either to give us hope that love could be found in this weird app-dating world of millennials or that we had possibly, just maybe met our soulmate. We left on terms of “It was so nice to meet you” and “I had so much fun” and then “Goodbye”. This was immediately followed by Katie “following” Nick on Instagram. For millennials, this was a BIG deal. Maybe there was more left to explore if we would just give it a chance.

 





















For the next 5 months, we flew back and forth from Boston to Orlando visiting each other, building upon the intense connection we had established in such a short amount of time. Nick flew more times in this timespan than he did in his entire life. Katie experienced the fun sites of Boston and the grueling winter that takes no prisoners. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Nick treasured the Florida lifestyle and was aching for a change both personally and professionally. Katie had always said that the Florida lifestyle was one Nick was meant to live, and she made certain he got a real taste of it. She should have won a medal for her recruitment efforts in getting Nick to move to Florida.

 





















After months of a “long-distance but frequent flier” relationship, Nick and Katie started their official relationship when Nick completed the 21-hour nonstop, adrenaline-fueled drive from Massachusetts to Orlando in a 2-door car packed with all of his belongings. We were ecstatic to finally be together in the same city, but that did not last long.&nbsp;Less than a year later when Katie finished her undergraduate degree, she was scheduled to begin her&nbsp;career as a CPA&nbsp;in South Florida. Just when we thought we&nbsp;hurdled the long-distance relationship obstacle to start our lives together, we were thrown this monkey wrench, a&nbsp;banana peel in the way of the finish line.&nbsp;But then, as if the stars had perfectly aligned, Nick received news that his company would be moving to South Florida.&nbsp; It was destiny. We found a home in Delray Beach and&nbsp;continued to grow together and fulfill the “couples goals” we had only imagined when we first met.





















 Four years later in May of 2018, Nick and Katie found themselves on the trip of a lifetime, island hopping&nbsp; in beautiful Greece.&nbsp; On a clear, summery night overlooking the picturesque caldera of Santorini, Nick proposed to Katie. Words were exchanged, but it was the expressions and raw emotions that did all the talking. It was the culmination, but also the beginning, of a love story that started by pure chance, maybe even by fate.

HOW TO GET TO MYKONOS

Whether you are traveling from Boston, New York, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, or Los Angeles, a&nbsp;fast&nbsp;&&nbsp;cheaper way to get to Mykonos&nbsp;is to fly into London and take a connecting flight to Mykonos (JMK).&nbsp;

Explore Town

Exploring the town of Mykonos is a fun afternoon activity. Walk down the beautiful stone streets, visit the local crafty stores, stop for an authentic bite to eat, get lost in the white landscape. The town is small enough to see within a couple hours, and it transforms into a vibrant nightlife scene after sunset.&nbsp; If you want to explore the town at night, make sure you have your bearings straight!

Renting an ATV to drive around the island is the best way to see all of the sights and hidden gems of Mykonos. There are not many cars on the island so this is a popular way for tourists to get around. Most places rent ATVs for the day, which would give you plenty of time to explore the island.&nbsp;

Keke's: great brunch spot overlooking a serene beach. Must arrive before it opens at noon to avoid waiting in a huge line. They do not take reservations, but they serve free wine while you wait.&nbsp;





Nammos/Principote/Scorpios: these are the top 3 beach clubs on the island that offer great food and drink with a chic Mediterranean vibe.





The countryside: simply driving around the island will open your eyes to its unique landscape.
