It all began in January 2023, when we first matched on Hinge. Though nothing came of it at the time—aside from exchanging phone numbers—fate had other plans. Five months later, Michael spotted Katie across the room at 57 Fighter Club. She was radiant, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her. Later that evening, while dancing with friends Travis and Brooke Billings, Michael saw an opportunity. He asked them to dance together so he could appear solo—and then made his move. He walked up to Katie and asked her to dance. The connection was instant. As they talked, Michael asked for her number again, only to discover it was already saved in his phone. They both laughed at the coincidence, realizing their paths had crossed before—but this time, something was different. From that night on, they’ve been inseparable. What started as a chance encounter turned into a beautiful love story, and now, a lifetime together.
