Our Wedding

Our journey began at James Madison University (go dukes!), where we met as lab partners in anatomy class. Russell tried to impress Katie in his tweed suit, and impress her he did. There was an undeniable connection. The energy was unmatched. Vibes.. immaculate. However, life gets in the way, and after anatomy class was over Katie and Russell went their separate ways and the legend of Tweed would live on even to this day.. Six years later, life brought us back to each other, this time through a Tinder swipe, in Richmond, Va. Katie asked Russell out on their first date and from that moment on, everything just clicked. It was our best last first date. Six months later, we were sharing a home and building a life together. Katie had one rule: no proposal before three years. So, true to form, Russell waited exactly three years to propose. And.. sweaty, out of breath, ill-prepared, and lost for words, Russell proposed in the beautiful Carter Mountain orchards. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was bright, the apples were crisp, and Katie accepted the proposal with the warmest heart. Since then, we've explored new places, taken chances on new career paths, and built a life full of joy and shared dreams. We've grown side by side, always believing in each other and knowing that love like this is once in a lifetime. We are so grateful for the journey that has brought us here, and we look forward to celebrating the beginning of our next chapter with those we love most!
