Our Wedding

Katie &amp; Richie met in Mrs. Staley’s class Jr. year at Paul VI High School. Katie transferred to Paul VI in January 2013 the middle of her Jr. year. Richie and Katie didn’t officially meet until one Saturday night at a friend’s party. Richie being the loud, crazy, funny, outgoing life of the party intimated Katie that first night, but right away his humor left Katie wondering who this Richie was. As time went on, the two got to know each other more for who they truly were and became best friends. Katie however, (not so secretly) always liked Richie more than friends. Richie, (not mature enough at the time) didn’t know what he was missing. The two remained best friends however, despite Katie wanting more all the way until November 18th, 2019 when Richie finally came to his senses and asked Katie to be his girlfriend. Flash forward three months after celebrating their fifth year as boyfriend and girlfriend, Richie asked Katie to be his wife on Sunday, February 9th, 2025. Aside from the engagement being a big day, the Eagles also won the Super Bowl! It was a double win of a day! &amp; the rest…. is history!

Sarah is Katie’s one and only sister and very first friend. Although different in many ways, the two share similar goofy senses of humor and there’s never a dull moment when they are together. Katie and Sarah’s relationship is built off of inside jokes that send them into laughing spells where no one else understands what’s going on especially Richie and Dave ( Sarah’s husband) The two sisters really have their own language and can finish each others sentences.

Sarah Cornwell 

Brenna is Katie’s very best friend and second sister. The two met freshmen year through a mutual friend but became very close senior year of high school and have been like family to each other ever since. If you see Katie looking stylish, it’s because of her personal fashionista, Brenna. When the two go out the chances of Katie wearing her own clothes are slim to none. Like Sarah and Katie, between their inside jokes and memories, Katie and Brenna also have their own language.  Katie is so excited and honored to have her best friend by her side on her big day.

Alex is Richie’s sister and Katie feels so extremely lucky to have such an amazing future sister in law that she feels close with and can call a friend. Katie and Alex have known each other from the age of 16 (Alex) and 18 (Katie). Katie is so excited to have Alex stand by her side as she marries her brother and honored to be gaining another sister!

Julia is Richie’s youngest sister and Katie feels so extremely lucky to have such an amazing future sister in law that she feels close with and can call a friend. Katie and Julia have known each other from the age of 11 (Julia ) and 18 (Katie). Katie is so excited to have Julia stand by her side as she marries her brother and honored to be gaining another sister!

JP is one of Richie’s oldest and dearest friends who he has known since pre-school. Richie and JP share countless amounts of memories and he is truly the brother Richie never had.

Dacruz can be the one to thank when it came to giving Richie the itch to travel. From the time they were 18 Richie Dorn and Richie Dacruz set off on adventurous travels.

Joe and Richie have remained friends since growing up and playing soccer together. Whether meeting up at the gym to workout together, or going out for a night of fun Joe is always there.

Kyle is another childhood friend of Richie’s from Aldridge way. Kyle and Richie grew up living across the street from each other and whether hanging outside with the rest of the neighborhood hood crew, or playing town sports, Richie and Kyle were always doing something active.

This is where our after party will be as they will keep the bar open until 1 AM. You do not need to book for both Friday and Saturday night, just know that both are available. Check in on Saturday October 11th, 2025 is at 3PM. There is no early check in so please arrive ready for the wedding. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Brigalias and our ceremony will begin promptly at 4PM. There will not be a shuttle from the hotel to Brigalias so please plan on driving or taking a Lyft or uber if you plan on drinking. Should you want early check in, you must call the hotel the day of your check in date to see if your room is available. Early check in before noon is a $75 fee. Between 12- 2PM there is a $50 fee and after 2PM there is no fee.
