Katie and Darrien's love story began in 2014 at New Hope Baptist Church. Despite attending different high schools they consider themselves high school sweethearts. They dated through most of high school, taking some time off towards the end to work on themselves as individuals. Their relationship would rekindle Katie's senior year, where upon Darrien returning from his trip to Greece and Italy, they would move in together.

Katie soon graduated high school and they moved off together to Warrensburg, MO where she attended UCM. In their four years in Warrensburg, they lived in multiple homes, endeavored the Covid shutdown, and adopted a Jack Russel/Beagle named Jax. Jax is an energetic, loving, and crazy dog, this is the start of their small family.

As Katie concluded her final years at UCM, she was involved in multiple internship opportunities allowing her to travel to places like Alabama and California. Concluding her final internship, Katie was given an undeniable opportunity to work full-time post-graduation, and she would take on her first project moving their family to Florida.

They would spend 6 months living and loving the Florida lifestyle, doing activities like Topgolf, Universal, and finding their love for the small things in life. December 2023, they would receive Katie's next project, jumping from Florida to Ohio in the heart of winter. Katie and Darrien quickly adapted, finding fun things to do together indoors like video games and movies on the couch with Jax.

Katie and Darrien live out their days in Ohio, cherishing one another's company. Their next adventure involves searching for a starter home in the Missouri/Kansas area, where their love story began. Through it all, Katie and Darrien continue to script a romantic journey, savoring every moment together.
