For those of you who do not know our story, here it is.

We met in 2015 on Tinder and became friends even though a week after matching Katie moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. We didn't actually meet in person for a whole year. Still, we became close friends and when Katie moved back to Wilmington, North Carolina, in 2018 we decided to start dating.

Our first Christmas together we decided to take our first international trip together and went to Banff, Canada. This was also where we said "I love you" for the first time. When we returned we did a trial run of living together and Katie never left. We decided that living together was nice and we kinda liked each other so we bought a house together in 2019.

We had big plans to travel internationally in 2020 but when Covid hit we decided to buy and build out a Ram Promaster instead. We did this with absolutely no experience and no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We ended up putting our house on Airbnb, saying goodbye to all of our friends and hitting the road. We lived in our van for a little more than a year, traveling to all of the lower 48 states and parts of Canada. We even returned to Banff, Canada in July 2022 which is where Matt proposed!

When the borders started to open back up and international travel became feasible again we decided to put our van in storage, pack a backpack and travel internationally.

We started off our international travel by winding our way through Central America. We had an amazing time and fell in love with Guatemala!

After a little time visiting family we were ready to set off again and we left to spend 8 months exploring Asia, Oceania and Africa! Following another quick break with friends and family we departed on our final leg of 2023 to South America.

We are still writing our adventure story but home is wherever we are together and we are so excited to celebrate our love with our closest friends and family!
