Katie and Danny met in September 2024 and fell in love immediately. They had both been searching for the person that would compliment them in every way and they knew right away that they had found the one. Within a few dates they had talked about what they wanted for the future and knew it would be with each other.

Over the next few months, Katie continued to fall in love with how well well Danny takes care of her, how good of a dad he is to his boxer, Mowgli, how passionate he is about the Oregon Ducks (no one is perfect...), and how hard he laughs when a kicker misses a field goal. Danny loves how much they laugh together, how much Katie loves her friends and family, how quickly she learned to love Mowgli - iykyk, and how passionate she is about Taylor Swift (no one is perfect...).

On December 24, 2024, exactly three months after their first date, Katie walked into her house, after they had spent Christmas Eve with her family, to flowers and candles everywhere, the Taylor Swift song "Lover" on repeat, and Danny on one knee with the Christmas tree in the background. A homage to her love for Taylor Swift, Danny had her best friend and Maid of Honor, Patti, make friendship bracelets that corresponded with his proposal and the lyrics in "Lover." Katie's mom, Mae, was there to share in their special moment. Without ever having asked Katie what she wanted in a proposal, Danny made every moment of it perfect.

Danny and Mowgli moved into Katie's house shortly after they got engaged. They have loved every minute of becoming roommates, best friends, and lovers. They spend days running or working out, snuggling on the couch (usually with Mowgli fighting to get in between them), spending time with friends and family, and playing Danny's favorite card game, Kings. They spend nights watching sports or a new show, out at their favorite local restaurants and bars, or being spontaneous.

This has been the adventure of their lives and they can't wait for this next chapter as husband and wife!
