My name is Sara and I’ve been lucky enough to know Katie since babyhood! I’m so grateful to have had Katie (and the Nave fam) as a consistent through my whole life and I am unbelievably excited to be a part of Eric and Katie’s wedding. Hi my name is Lauren. Katie and I became instant friends day one in nursing school. We spent pretty much all our time together whether it was working on group projects, cramming the night before a test, thrifting, getting margs and Mexican food, or partaking in extracurricular activities that may or may not have involved a bar. Some additional memories we often like to reminisce on are our Milwaukee art museum after dark adventures, one of which our night ended singing and dancing to the sound of music, and then there was our trip to Miami which we had the pleasure of Eric being apart of. We went for my birthday and Katie insisted on buying me multiple stuffed animals at one of the convenience shops which are now some of my most prized possessions. Eric and Katie were also kind enough to host me at their home in Portland and showed me around their beautiful city. Katie and Eric are the best people and I am so happy they found each other. I’m Leah and Katie and I have been best friends for 25 years! We grew up in Spokane together and then spent our post grad years together in the Midwest where she met Eric. My (soon to be) husband and I spent many weekends in Milwaukee with Katie and Eric but my favorite memory has to be when we ran away to Amish country in Wisconsin during the pandemic. It’s where we introduced our now (almost) husbands and had such a special time all together. I am so honored to be standing up there with Katie as she marries the love of her life!! Katie and I met at BU, where for three years we were like ships passing in the night. Although we had many shared friends, our friendship didn't really click until a fateful night in the bathroom of a Fenway bar in 2015. From that moment on, Katie and I were the best of friends and were inseparable during our senior year of college. From 1056 to the Bahamas to New Orleans, we have maintained our shared love of a good salad and a greasy dive bar through it all. I cannot wait to celebrate Katie and Eric (and Ducky and Vito) in their next chapter! /////SPANISH///// Katie y yo nos conocimos en BU, donde durante tres años fuimos como barcos que se cruzaban en la noche. I've known Katie since we were wee lasses, taking on growing up in Spokane and the public schools. I'm so happy this beautiful fiery gal found Eric to be her kind and handsome midwestern man. I'm excited to see what they grow in their lives together listening to ABBA, drinking good wine and eating good food, swimming in Idaho lakes, raising their pack of pugs and watching football and futbol. I’m Kelly, and I’ve know Katie since we were 3(ish) years old! We met in ballet class, and even though ballet didn’t stick for either of us, we’ve been friends since. More recently, Katie and I bond over our mutual love for musical theater, wine, and Survivor. When I met Katie I thought she was the coolest and such a warm genuine person. I’ve been looking forward to the day that Eric would propose since I met Katie. One of my favorite memories with them is when we drove from Phoenix to Sedona and we hiked the Teacup Trail. It started raining on us but we still had a great time. I’ve known Eric since our days at Lombardi Middle School, where we “dominated” the basketball court with a combined 2-point average—on a good day. We’d take turns picking each other up for trips to the YMCA or hotbox his car with cigars during lunch, thinking we were the coolest, only to head back to class reeking of smoke. Although it’s hard to pick just one memory, one that stands out is our time working together at Quiznos in high school. Eric used to stop by all the time for a cheap sub, and I’d load it up for him. He applied for a job there so many times the manager finally gave in and hired him. From the moment he clocked in to the moment we clocked out, it was non-stop laughter. I’ll never forget the time we served a couple of Packers players. One day, a guy came in, and we couldn’t figure out if he was Jordy Nelson. After a couple of awkward minutes of guessing, Eric casually asked, “Does your name start with the letter J?” Jordy laughed and said yes, and we completely freaked out. I’m beyond excited for Katie and Eric’s big day! I actually remember in 2020, at the height of COVID, playing Xbox with Eric when he casually mentioned he was watching a movie with a girl he had just met. I couldn’t believe it—I was stuck in my room on Xbox while Eric had managed to find someone! Fast forward five years, and here they are, getting married. Katie is such a positive light in Eric’s life, and it’s clear how happy she makes him. Eric and I have been wreaking havoc together since Lombardi Middle School days, which by high school evolved into half-court basketball at the Y and Quiznos subs. The shenanigans really started once I joined Eric in Milwaukee, with 2015 being the first of a 6-year roommate-ship, an era of us tailgating sporting events, attempting to take pictures with retired athletes, kicking a soccer ball around in the kitchen, and Real Chili nightcaps. I’m not sure what Katie’s first impression of us must have been, but their perfect match was obvious: she fit right in with bonfires, bus rides, Nintendo, and even mysteriously disappearing Taco Bell. While I was sad to see Eric moving to Portland, I was even happier he had Katie by his side. Though he’s longer down the hall, he’s just a plane trip away—California desert, Washington lakes, or active volcanoes in Oregon—now with another best friend. I look forward to seeing where Eric and Katie’s next chapter in life takes them!

Known in most circles simply as 'Eagle', Ben was college roommates with some of Eric's friends from high school. Ben would first meet Eric at a classy campus apartment party while visiting Steve (another fellow groomsman) when Steve first moved to Milwaukee after college. Ben later decided to permanently join the party in Milwaukee in 2016, where Ben and Eric started to bond while frequently hanging out at high end establishments such as Jo Cats Pub and the Miller Park parking lot. All these years later, Jo Cats is still in business, the Miller Park parking lot still stands, and Ben and Eric's friendship remains strong! When Eric first brought Katie over to meet the guys at a bonfire at the Schiller Frat House, some of the first words she spoke to Ben were "Don't worry, I promise I'm fun to hang out with!" Needless to say, she has more than lived up to her own prophetic words. Ben's favorite memory of Katie and Eric is when Katie's family hosted Ben, Curtis, Colin, and Steve out at their cabin on Bead Lake for a long weekend in the fall of 2023. Shout out to Jeff and Eileen for hosting us!! Ben is extremely grateful to be attending this special day, considering Eric nearly took him out with an errant golf shot back in 2021. Congrats to you 2!! Michael Nave has known Katie Nave since March 1994. Katie was a daredevil growing up, having no problem with the occasional 'yard sale' on the off-piste slopes of Mt. Spokane, whereas Michael preferred to play it safe on the nice, groomed, and patrolled runs. But that's probably overselling how much they skied -- it's just an illustrative anecdote. The point is, Katie was always the fun one. They share most of their early memories of road trips to Montana, summer foot races in the backyard, and at the dining room table (Katie faced East; Michael, West). Later, they'd become co-workers at Camp Reed, party buddies, and text-message confidants at Christmas & Thanksgiving. Michael first heard of Eric in the first weeks of the pandemic -- at least there was one good thing to come out of the lockdowns! Most of his memories with Eric are of hangin' and, occasionally, chillin'. And d*mned if Michael doesn't like hangin' and chillin'. Michael is excited for the big day! How could he not be? Katie is doing Michael a huge favor by taking some pressure off to get married. And it'll be a pretty fun party, to boot, wouldn't ya say? /////SPANISH///// Michael Nave conoce a Katie Nave desde marzo de 1994. Eric Perez, the greatest to ever do it, is one of the funniest and most genuine people I have ever known. Although we went to middle school and high school together, Perez and I got close post-college when I moved to Milwaukee and Covid had hit. We had entered our Warzone era. Most nights we’d get on together with the boys and just game till it was 3 AM and we had to get some sleep before “work” in the morning. It was the best way to socialize at a time when we weren’t able to go out and do that. Eric had a catchphrase for everything and we’d end up in tears most nights laughing and just having fun. He’d be screaming at his TV waking up the neighbors and roommates in the middle of the night or scaring the mailman away in the middle of the day. There was never a dull moment when RatTV was live on Twitch. I remember though when he was suddenly not on as much and would be “busy” doing other things. This is when he met Katie. You could tell he was hooked from day one. He always wanted to hang out with her and would make excuses about why he wouldn’t be on later. The man was smitten and I couldn’t have been happier for him. Katie and Eric both became close friends of my wife Lauren and I. Lauren and Katie instantly bonded through living out West as my wife is from Billings. We always loved to hang out with them and although they moved out to Portland and we don’t see each other nearly as much, we have stayed as close as ever through gaming and texting and getting together when we can. I’m honored to get to be a part of their big day and be up there to support two of my favorite people as they take this exciting next step in their long journey. Lauren y Katie se conectaron de inmediato por haber vivido en el Oeste, ya que mi esposa es de Billings. “Lifelong friends” is often an overused term but when you’ve known someone for over thirty years, I think it’s fitting. I first met Eric on the playground at Kennedy Elementary School in 3rd grade where we learned we lived only a block apart. As kids our summers were spent playing Man on Rocks at John Meir park, and after school we would spend hours playing games online against one another. I’m pretty sure I still hold a winning record against him on the digital pool table. It only made sense for him to be my roommate when we went off to college at UW-Milwaukee together. I’ll never forget the time I finally had a Saturday night off, and Eric convinced me to go to a house party just off of campus. This party would of course get raided by the police searching for underage drinkers, and I would luckily escape with nothing but the breathalyzer tube, which Eric insisted that I keep. After I moved out of Wisconsin I always stayed close with Eric, making sure to always find time to come back to MKE to visit him. Eric introduced me to Katie on one of those visits home, and I knew almost immediately he had found his person he was meant to be with. I’m so happy to have an opportunity to see Eric and Katie’s relationship grow over the years, and I’m even more excited for them as they embark on this lifelong journey together. In 2016, on the verge of the Cleveland Cavaliers winning their first NBA Championship, I moved to Milwaukee, WI. Not knowing a single person in the city, I found myself frolicking around on solo adventures looking to make friends. This led to me attending the Bucks community day event at BMO stadium (RIP) where I asked the two guys behind me to hold my space in line while I ran to refill my libations. Upon returning, I chatted with those guys for a bit about my love of Matthew Dellavedova, the Bucks chances that season, and who has the best cheese curds in the city. Just by serendipity, I ran into those same guys, Dallich and Eagle, a week later at the local watering hole (Jacks) where I was introduced to the rest of the crew. I took a liking to Eric very quickly (who doesn't) due to his goofy nature and our shared love of Odd Future. For the next 3 years I found myself hanging out with that same crew almost every weekend until I eventually moved out of state. I came back to visit a year later during a cross country road trip and that's when I first met Katie. Just like Eric, it's hard not to take an immediate liking to Katie and it was one of those connections where you could just tell they were made for eachother. I have had the privilege of traveling all across the United States with Eric, from Florida to Mecca Hills, CA, while stopping at every musical festival along the way. Although I'm not the biggest NBA fan anymore, I am eternally grateful for the Milwaukee Bucks because if it wasn't for them (and Dallich and Eagle I suppose), I wouldn't have met Eric. Eric and Katie, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and am so excited, and honored, to stand with you both on your big day. -Colin

Katie and I grew up together in the same neighborhood in Spokane, attending pre-school through high school together, and sharing countless carpool trips along the way. We took piano lessons from our beloved teacher, Mrs. Clark until Katie developed an incredible voice at which point she switched over to vocals and I became her accompanist. For our last recital of senior year, we attempted a duet of 16 going on 17 - a performance which marked the end of my short-lived singing career. When Katie brought Eric into our lives, it was like he'd always been there. The way he's assimilated with all the colorful characters and personalities in Katie's world - myself included - has been incredible to watch. Getting to know him has been an absolute privilege, and I can't wait to meet his family because apples this good don't fall far from their trees. Seeing Katie and Eric grow together and create their family with two devious yet adorable pugs has been a highlight of recent years, and I'm beyond honored to be included in their big day. Let's make it official!

Hi! My name is Remy, and I am so excited to be the ring bearer for Tío Eric & Tía Katie! I’m 2 years old and will be 3 for their wedding. I love cars and drawing. I think tío Eric and tía Katie are the best because they are very patient with me and always remember my birthday. I get the most special packages in the mail from them.
