Our Wedding

We are a typical post Covid couple who met online. Shoutout Hinge. Though we met in Dayton, OH meeting each other instantly felt like having a piece of home in one another as we're both originally from the Southeast WI/Northern IL area.   We had our first date on July 12th 2022 and spent the next few weeks getting to know each other before making it official on Aug. 20th.   I joke that I knew Josh would be around for awhile when I went to an event with friends and got a little over served, so I called Josh to pick me up and not only did he come drive me home, but he brought me cheese curds and a Sprite. It didn't take him long to know the way to my heart. We've spent the last two years trying cheese curds everywhere we go when we see them on the menu.   Anyone who knows us knows we have LOTS of nieces and nephews between the two of us and they mean everything to us. For our first Christmas together, I went home with Josh and getting to see him be 'Uncle Josh' for the first time was when I knew this was going to be my person.   The next couple years we did a lot of traveling, survived our first deployment together, watched many many sporting events, turned Josh into a cat dad, engaged in quite a few wine tastings and just enjoyed our time together.   Come July of 2024, I was on a girls trip with friends and Josh was up North in Eagle River with his family. The plan was for me to meet him up there after my girls trip and spend the week on the water. Little did I know he was waiting to propose that week.   What should have been a 4 hour flight to get up there, turned into a 48hr. journey. My first flight was delayed and would have resulted in me missing my connection, so they rebooked me and I got to the connection, but then that flight was cancelled. I finally got to Chicago and had to get on a train up to Milwaukee. The plan was to take a bus from Milwaukee up to Northern WI, where Josh would come pick me up. Well the bus got cancelled, so I was stuck in Milwaukee. Thankfully I am from there and my Uncle Pete came to save the day, he picked me up and started driving me north as Josh started driving south. We met in the middle and four hours later, and two days delayed, I was in Eagle River. One hour after being there, we were engaged! I guess I took so long to get there, he couldn't wait any longer. He proposed on the dock at his dad's lake house and it was absolutely beautiful.   We can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives with all of our favorite people. July 2025 can't come soon enough, LET'S PARTY!!!

After the immediate family and wedding party finish with the rehearsal dinner, we will all be heading to the Rooftop bar at the Embassy Suites. We anticipate being there around 7:30pm and anyone who is in town already is welcome to join us. Hope to see you there! Saturday 7.26

Anyone is welcome to stick around another day and head over to the Hard Rock Casino with us. We plan to head over that way around 12pm and spend the afternoon testing out that newlywed luck. Hotels

This is our main hotel for the weekend. This is where we have a room block with discount code and this is the ONLY hotel where the bus that we have hired to get guests to and from the wedding will be operating from. If you call in directly to reserve your room, be sure to give the block code of CQ11B9 or mention that you are with the Setchell-Noah Wedding Block.

Riverview Inn & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection

This hotel is located by the Hard Rock Casino and is about a 20 minute drive from the venue. There is not currently transportation provided to or from the venue from this hotel, so you'll need to make your own transportation accommodations to the wedding if staying here. This hotel is located only a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the venue. Unfortunately, there is no room block with this hotel. Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront

There are several other hotels out by the Hard Rock Casino (about a 20 minute drive from venue). We do not have a room block with any of them and our shuttle will not be able to go there to pick up/drop off for the wedding. If you choose to stay at one of those hotels please keep that in mind. If you stay at a hotel other than the Riverview, you may want to Uber/Lyft to the venue. If you choose to drive yourself, please see the parking information section as the designated parking lot is not right next to the venue.

Shuttle Info

We have a bus coming to the Riverview Inn &amp; Suites to pick guests up and bring them to the venue. The bus will make two trips, so to be sure everyone gets there on time, we'll need some people to be sure and take the early bus. If you're ready to go, we would love if you considered this. TO THE WEDDING BUSES:3:20PM - Bus from Riverview to the venue4:20PM - Bus from Riverview to the venue The bus will drop you off right by the venue and if you are on the early bus and have some time to kill before the ceremony starts, you can go right across the street from the venue and grab a drink at Carlyle Brewing Co. There are also several other bars in walking distance. END OF NIGHT BUSES:9:00pm - Leave venue for Riverview10:00pm - Leave venue for Riverview11:15pm - Leave venue for Riverview12:15am - Leave venue for Riverview The last bus of the night will be about an hour after the sparkler exit, so you will have a little bit of time to grab another drink at one of the bars in the area. If you need to take yourself to the venue or want to leave earlier than when the bus will come back, please consider Uber or Lyft. Due to the Rockford City Market on Friday nights right next door to our venue, the parking situation can be really tricky.

Parking Info

On Friday nights there is a city festival that happens right next door to our venue so it makes parking really tricky as they shut down streets. However, we do have a parking lot available to us a couple of blocks away and the address for that is: 215 S. Madison Street (this is about a 4 minute walk from the venue). Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.&nbsp;

Airports

The <a href="https://flyrfd.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rockford O'Hare Airport</a> is about 15 minutes from the wedding. The <a href="https://www.flychicago.com/ohare/home/pages/default.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Chicago O'Hare Airport </a>is about an hour from the wedding. The <a href="https://www.mitchellairport.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Milwaukee Mitchell Airport</a> is about an hour and 15 minutes from the wedding. The <a href="https://www.flychicago.com/midway/home/pages/default.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Chicago Midway Airport</a> is about an hour and a half from the wedding.

Bus from Airports to Rockford

If you decide to fly into Milwaukee Mitchell Airport or Chicago O'Hare Airport, the <a href="https://www.coachusa.com/airport-transportation/airport-express" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Van Galder Bus Co.</a> offers daily routes, several times a day to both airports to and from Rockford.
