Our Wedding

18 January 2019 Just as a typical marriage begins with a first dance, so too did our relationship, as long as we're using a loose definition of the word "dance". While the one picture from that night is objectively insane, we both can't help but crack up every time we look at it. I don't think we could have ended up with a better picture, though, to highlight just how much fun we had together on the first night we ever hung out, but it sure was the perfect beginning for the 6 years of fun we've had together so far. A big shout-out to Sam for playing cupid and inviting us out together that night.

Our "First Dance"

12 February 2019 You may realize this is only 2 days before Valentine's Day. I thought that I would be cute and wait until the 14th. In the end, I just didn't want to make her wait any longer and had to make things official just a bit early (I may have also thought that she would be a little dissappointed not having a boyfriend before valentines day)

We Became Official

12 February 2020 Looking back now, we should have realized just how critical making and eating good food has been to our relationship. For our first anniversary, Katie took on the challenge of cooking us dinner in a dorm room (no small feat) and topped it off with a peanut butter pie, which was absolutely amazing. I took the easy route and took us out to a very yummy taco restaurant that has a great view of the Baltimore inner harbor.

2020What better way to explain how in love we must actually be than spending time together through 5 months of long-distance during COVID via facetime and co-op online puzzles.

12 February 2021 This was honestly one of my favorite anniversary events that we have done so far. We started by visiting the American Visionary Art Museum. Not only were there tons of cool and impactful art pieces, but there was also an awesome gift shop. Katie bought me a great hat. After the museum visit, we had dinner at Blue Pit BBQ. We had to sit on the deck outside because of covid restrictions and it was freezing, so we were both bundled up and got warm drinks. There was one other couple that had decided to face the cold for some drinks and BBQ, and we both remember them clearly because they talked about having a pet pig.

2nd Anniversary

12 February 2022For our 3rd anniversary, we went to a place that had a wine wall. If you don't know what that is, they usually are beer walls with a huge variety of beer that you pour yourself out of taps on the wall. Our minds were blown the first time seeing a beer wall, and blown again seeing it done with wine. After getting a couple of glasses of wine to ease my nerves, I gave Katie a promise ring (which was maybe a bigger deal than I realized at the time if you would've asked my moms). She then proceeded to drop it in the toilet after wearing it for about 20 minutes. Fear not, she loved me enough already to reach in and save it.

3rd Anniversary

26 May 2022Graduating together made the day even more special to both of us. I was more proud of myself and Katie that day than I had ever been. It was an intense feeling to look back at what we had worked through academically, look forward to what our lives would be like after graduating, and also to consider how much we had grown through the three and a half years of knowing each other since freshman year.

12 February 2023There's not much I can say about this anniversary date other than that we went to Melting Pot and ate more food than either of us had ever or probably ever will in one sitting. We also got caught kissing behind the curtain around our table by the waitress.

4th Anniversary

May 2023While moving in together seems like a big step for most couples, I don't think either of us felt much anxiety about it at all, if you ignore Katie's concern that I was some kind of dirty animal. Plus it was kinda like we already lived together with how often I was staying over at Katies apartment at this point (big thank you to Sharon for letting this happen lol).What seemed like an easy move quickly turned into a huge challenge as we woke up one night a week into the move to a huge house fire that took out multiple homes on the block. We were lucky enough to be able to save most of the belongings that we had moved, but now we needed to find a new place to live within a week before our leases were up at our old apartments. We were lucky again when Katie found an apartment building with an immediate opening for us.

7 October 2023I'm sure just about everyone reading this knows how big a part of our lives Corn became immediately after we got him. I think we will forever consider him as our first child and joke often that we are so prepared for kids after taking care of Corn for the last couple of years.

12 February 2024One of our favorite trips that we have been thankful enough to go on for the last few years is visiting Katie's Grandparents at their resort in Mexico. We can't say thanks enough for letting us visit! It's always so relaxing with a bunch of pools, poolside service, and the best margaritas of all time (don't get me started on happy hour 2-for-1 margs). On this trip, we had a special date night (courtesy of Lisa!) on an off-resort adventure called Rythmn of the Night. There was a buffet for dinner (obviously on the top of my list of events of the night), an amazing acrobatic show, and a beautiful boat ride to get to the location. With free drinks included, of course. That night made for an anniversary we will never forget!

5th Anniversary

4 April 2024After living together for a year, Katie had obviously decided that living with a man wasn't so bad, as she pitched buying a house together. We both love the city of Baltimore so much, and at the time, had spent almost all of our time together here. Buying a house felt like such a big step. And it was definitely daunting. But we knew we wanted to spend more of our lives here, continuing to explore the city and continuing to grow together. We also knew Corn needed a yard (we were already tired of taking him out on a leash)

19 June 2024We didn't think we could love another dog like we love Corn until we adopted Wallace. He is our guard dog that actually wouldn't hurt a fly. Nothing cheers either of us up after a rough day like sitting on the couch with Wallace while he flops his massive head on your chest.

12 February 2025After a couple of incredible trips to Mexico, we couldn't help but want to repeat it for our anniversary this year. All of our favorite things were still there: the pools, the delicious food, the perfect weather, and the margaritas. Every day we sat by a different pool, ate nachos, and enjoyed some R&amp;R. We can't express enough how happy we have been over the past six and a half years, and how excited we are to officially join our lives together. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have been there for us so far and will be as we continue as a married couple.
