It all started Summer 2011 when Travis and I met working at Starbucks. We remained good friends for a year until I told Travis, "we're going to date and see what happens." To that, he giggled but here we are almost 8 years later. Since then, we've traveled to different countries and different states. We've experienced joy and sadness. We've bought new cars and a new home. We adopted the love of our life, Murphy (aren't you glad this is the only time I've mentioned her?). We've had countless adventures and can't wait to continue for the rest of our lives.

We were on a road trip in Northwest Oregon in September 2019. On the night of the proposal, we were staying in the most adorable cabin on Mt. Hood. I had been obsessed with finding big leaves the whole trip so we were "leaf hunting" to see who could find the best leaves. Being two only children, we get really competitive with our made up games. Travis had the leaves piled on a table and I started spreading them out so I could look at them. When I got to the bottom leaf, Travis nervously said "there's something under there!" I flipped over the leaf expecting a big bug and to my surprise it was a sparkly ring!! I was completely shocked. You'd think after 7 years I'd know how to read the guy. We spent the next week exploring Oregon and enjoy this new experience together.
