Katie and Benji were just 14 years old when they met. Katie sent the first message to Benji on Facebook, which was a simple "Hey." This ignited a 2 month long conversation, where they got to know each other and talked about their lives, family and other small things like their favorite colors, activities and hobbies. These conversations went on every single day for roughly 2 months. They slowly began to fall in love with each other's personalities.
August of 2015 they finally met in person, 2 months after they started talking to each other. They went for a walk on the Riverbend trail. At one point during the walk Benji found and decided to chase Katie with a plant FILLED with spiders because he thought it was funny. (She still has not let him live it down to this day, and he still thinks it's funny.) They both consider this to be their first "date." From that day forward they were pretty much inseparable.
Over the course of the next few years they shared many memorable moments, inside jokes, spontaneous adventures (local and far), and lots of laughter as their love grew for eachother each and every day.
FAST FORWARD 7 YEARS.

(Side note: Benji has always done something special for Katie's birthdays over the years, usually he would throw a party for her with family and close friends.)
Her 22nd birthday fell on a Wednesday so he arranged a party at Suttons Wine Bar, Saturday December 10th. They rented a "bubble" and invited some of his family, some of her friends and her Father. They all sat around talking and laughing while sipping on some wine. The entire day, nothing seemed out of the ordinary for Katie. Benji had been planning this day for quite awhile and he didn't even seem nervous.
About an hour or so into the party, Benji had asked the person serving us if he would mind taking a video of everyone for a "group photo" but to keep filming after the "photo" as everyone took their seats. Benji got on one knee, he pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it while she was reaching for her wine glass. To say she was surprised would be an understatement, she was in shock at first but then said YES YES YES!

As a couple they enjoy going on hikes to beautiful destinations, camping, kayaking, long boarding, bike rides, frolfing, watching movies, building Legos, going out on date night, and playfully teasing each other.

They love each other so much, they have shared 8 years of ups and downs, adventure's, crazy stories, tears and all the laughter and love you could ever imagine. There is never a dull day in their relationship. They both look forward to starting a family of their own, growing old together and taking on whatever the future may hold for them, together as a couple.
