Katie & Cory's Wedding

In fall of 2020, Katie's sophomore year and Cory's senior year at San Diego State, we crossed paths for the first time through a mutual friend. At the time, we thought nothing of it. However, a few months later we started chatting about Ohio State football as they just made the 2021 National Championship Game. On January 12th, 2021, we went on our first date at Tiki Town Adventure Golf at Belmont Park. The first thing we learned about each other was that we both are very competitive, so we decided to make things interesting; the winner got to pick the lunch spot and the loser had to pay. Cory won and Katie paid! The following month consisted of many dates and getting to know each other. On February 15th, Cory asked Katie to be his girlfriend. The next three years were full of date nights, Padres games, concerts, water polo games, graduations, and many trips. Then in September 2024, we moved into our first apartment together in La Mesa. In May 2025, we went on vacation to France to celebrate Cory's sister's and brother-in-law's third wedding (Same couple, just 3rd wedding) Our trip started in Paris with Cory's family, then the two of us broke off and took a train down to the South of France. In the south, we hit all the small beach towns and took in all of the amazing views. On our last night alone, May 29th, in the small marina town of Cassis, as Katie stepped out of the quaint Airbnb to leave for dinner, Cory pulled her back inside. After retrieving the ring, Cory got down on one knee and asked Katie to marry him. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you on August 14th and can't wait to be The Erlenbachs!
