Our Wedding

We first met in January of 2019 at Bowling Green State University. We both were in the Falcon Marching Band together the prior fall but we did not meet until the spring semester. After getting to know each other, we started dating September 26, 2019. We were inseparable and spent plenty of time working on homework, building Legos, and walking around campus. We continued participating in band together, took ASL classes together, and expanded our relationship in the co-ed music sorority, Tau Beta Sigma.Our relationship took an unexpected turn when Covid 19 hit in March of 2020 and we were forced to be long distance. We spent many hours each week watching shows together remotely, virtual dates over facetime, and lots of Minecraft. While unexpected, our relationship flourished during this time knowing that we could love each other no matter the distance.We returned to school in fall of 2020 and continued our educations in person. We played video games and had a lot of dates in our apartments. We ordered a lot of takeout, our favorite being rapid fire.As the world began opening up again, we began exploring Bowling Green and the surrounding areas together. We developed a love of going to movie theaters together, a love we still share now. We were able to explore each others hometowns and spend time with each others family and friends on a deeper level.We graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2022 and resumed our long distance relationship. Katie graduated with a degree in Engineering Technology with minors in Environmental Science and Business Administration. Oliver graduated with a degree in Communications with a specialization in Relational Communications.We were grateful to participate in the Alumni Falcon Marching Band during the 100th homecoming. During this weekend, Oliver proposed at Katie's favorite place in Bowling Green, Wintergarden Nature Preserve! The proposal was a very special moment for the both of us.On September 1, 2023 we moved into our first place together in Kent, Ohio where we currently live. Katie works for Enbridge where she is a Business Process Analyst and Oliver works for RWK Services where he is a Sales Associate. We adopted a one-year old dachshund/golden retriever mix named Manny. We love him with our entire hearts and he definitely keeps our lives entertaining.Some of our favorite adventures together include traveling to Florida together with some of our best friends/family, exploring Washington D.C., spending weekends in Cleveland and Columbus exploring the local history, and plenty of weekend trips to visit Elizabeth and Langston in Virginia.We look forward our wedding together and continuing our love story for the rest of our lives!

Alex is Oliver's best friend. They met back in the 2nd grade at a play date.  20 plus years later, we have continued to grow our friendship together playing music, watching movies and playing video games together.

Eric and Katie have been friends since 5th grade! They share a love of D&D and play together weekly. Eric gives Katie the best advice and they always spend their time laughing!

Dylan and Oliver met back in 2019 for a winter gig with The BlueJays Jazz and Funk Band. Over the past 5 years we have developed a strong friendship performing music together, sending funny videos to one another, jamming to music and making each other laugh.

Robert and Katie have been friends since 3rd grade. They played clarinet together for 8 years and now play D&D together weekly. Robert always knows how to make Katie laugh in any situation!

Justin and Oliver were first introduced to one another in high school marching band. They were both in the same trumpet squad. One thing that drew Oliver towards a strong friendship with Justin was his hard work ethic within music and academics. They were both fortunate to attend BGSU together where we were roommates for 3 years.

Emilio and Katie met in the Falcon Marching Band at BGSU in 2018. Katie was Emilio's big in Tau Beta Sigma and they both played clarinet together for years. They both love playing video games, board games, and watching movies with their friend group!

Ray has been Oliver's brother in law for the past 7 years. He is an amazing individual who has helped Oliver grow to the individual he is today. While they do not spend much time together, they enjoy the time  watching sports and talking and going out to get food.

Keith is Katie's brother and one of her best friends. They share a love of the outdoors, music, D&D, and more! Keith is always there for Katie and supports her in all that she does.

David and Oliver met one another performing with The Blue Jays Jazz and Funk Band. David is one of the most kind hearted individuals whose actions and mindset have passed onto Oliver. Besides performing with one another, Oliver, David and the rest of the Blue Jays Jazz & Funk Band would spend evenings at his dads backyard bar, play UNO and drink some "Bluejay".
