Things to Do

Dock Square

Picture of Dock Square

Dock Square located in the heart of Kennebunkport and is home to many charming shops and restaurants. It is only a mile walk from the hotel, and also has a large municipal parking lot if you prefer to drive. It is the perfect place to spend some time before the wedding.

Intown Trolley Co Tour

Intown Trolley Tours are a wonderful way to see the sites of Kennebunkport. The trolley stops by The Colony every hour. Check out the website or stop by the front desk for more details. In case of inclement weather, we recommend visiting the Seashore Trolley Museum. It is the largest electric railway museum in the world and has many excellent exhibits.

The Clam Shack is a Kennebunkport institution and features Erik's favorite lobster roll. It is a great spot to grab a bite to eat before walking around Dock Square.

A trip to Kennebunkport would not be complete without enjoying some ice cream while strolling around Dock Square. Rococo offers the most unique ice cream in town. Try our favorite flavors - the Goat Cheese Blackberry Chambord or Whoopie Pie!

Goose Rocks Beach

Kennebunkport, ME

Kennebunkport has some of the best beaches in all of Maine. Katie and Erik's favorite beach is Goose Rocks Beach, where Katie's family had a summer cottage for over 50 years. The water is chilly, but you can walk for miles. It is the quintessential Maine beach.

Water Sports

While it may a bit cold to swim (unless you are very brave!), we encourage you to take advantage of the seaside location and rent a powerboat, kayak, or canoe at the Kennebunkport Marina to explore the coastline.
