Nick and Katie believe whole heartedly in fate and that God brought them together right when they needed each other!

Nick and Katie began their relationship right before the pandemic changed the whole world. Some would say this was fate because Nick is an absolute hypochondriac and Katie is a nurse who worked closely with Covid patients the majority of 2020 and 2021. Nick may have never given Katie the time of day if they hadn't met before Covid really hit.

Nick and Katie had their first date at Tattooed Moose in Downtown Charleston and the two of them sat there, talking and laughing for hours. Nick was charming and an incredible gentlemen. Katie was enamored by Nick's stories and wit. Their second date was brunch at Acme on IOP where Katie really won Nick over by properly tying the lace on his leather loafers. A silly, small detail but Nick still talks about it to this day as one of the most amazing gestures. After several more dates, Nick finally mustered the courage to ask Katie to officially be his girlfriend and the rest is, as they say, history!

The two got engaged August of 2021 at one of their favorite spots, Kiawah Island! Nowadays, the couple enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing with all of their dogs and watching Monty Python over 50 times a month (no we're not kidding, unfortunately.)

Nick needed a Katie, but make no mistake, Katie needed a Nick too.
