We’ve all been there, another couple posting a smiling picture of them on social media while visiting some tropical island, a dancing flash mob in a public square turns into a marriage proposal and the obligatory “She said YES!” engagement picture with a ring showing. As you get older and see more and more of these you begin to loose hope that may you may have missed the train on this one… The words from people saying “trust me that you’ll meet that right one when it’s your time” is way over played and you’re just ready now!

The online dating scene gets to the point where you can tell from one profile picture what that persons going to say before they even type a message.

And then out of now where… there’s a match… A match that perks your eyebrow up like the ROCK in a wrestling match. Then the messages & conversations start… and all those crazy profiles you had gone through seem like they were a 100 years ago and you can’t believe the amazing chats you’re having with someone you just matched with. And then the big question comes… Are you free for dinner tonight? And she says YES!

Date 1 was nothing but perfect in every way, she entered with that classic Katie look. Walking in with her cross body purse and piercing blue eyes looking right at me sitting at the table. I instantly started sweating, my heart rate increased and I thought to myself… Bro.. don’t screw this up. Her hug was just like mine, her smile was contagious and the way she spoke literally drained out any noise that was surrounding us in a full restaurant. Our first dinner went so well that the staff was staring at us since there was no one left in the place but us. We shut it down!

Date 2 a walking ghost tour in old town that lead us to bar hopping and feeling like college kids again for a few hours. It was the perfect weather on a spring night. Who knew ghosts and love could coexist in the same universe.

Date 3 PLAYBALL! We both share a love for sports but mostly baseball. We went to a Washington DC Nationals game and I even shared my bags of peanuts with this lovely lady, I was totally falling in love with. (She even loved going to the souvenir shop more than me!)

And the dates continued…
