Our Wedding

Ryan and I officially met the summer of 2015 ... although more accurately Ryan was around in my life way before I knew who he was. Somewhere out there exists a picture of us at my cousin Ben's birthday parties, as Ryan was a childhood friend of his. He also transferred and graduated from St. Benedict ... I vaguely remember running past him on the playground from time to time! We met on our way to a retreat with friends from Little Flower and I was instantly hooked. The first day we talked, I convinced him and another friend to stay up the entire bus ride down and the entire first day at the retreat. Me, being competitive and attempting to show off my super cool ability to stay up for 36 hours, won that contest. From that day forward we stayed up late texting. The friendship between us blossomed and my crush grew each day. Finally one day I worked up the courage to tell him how I felt. We began dating in August of 2015. Unfortunately, that romantic relationship didn't last long. We look fondly on it now, but there are good and fair reasons why a senior and a freshman shouldn't date. I needed to fall in love with where I was in life and he needed to get ready to start his college career... The break up didn't last long. Ryan and I could talk endlessly from day one, and that friendship didn't die. I am very grateful to God for this time because we were deepening our friendship without much thought. Every day more secrets were revealed and it was a time where he was becoming my home. Our current and strongest and best and most amazing relationship starting blooming in 2017. At the time I was in a theatre class and required to see plays and musicals every quarter. I invited Ryan to go to the SJJ musical with me. I remember so distinctly that the entire time I just wanted him to put his arms around me, which was weird because I thought all of those feelings had simmered. Boy was I wrong. That night we stayed up until 4am on Facetime wondering if we should give it another chance... We decided the best thing to do was test it out with one more date. This date ended up being seeing Beauty and the Beast with my best friend and her boyfriend. We met up before and strolled around Fallen Timbers, giggling and holding hands. I knew then that I was all in. The date went perfectly and we haven't looked back since ... Ryan has been my lifeline through every stage of my adult life. He has moved me in and out of dorm rooms and apartments and homes. We have explored the majority of Columbus together, and have begun expanding our explorations to the rest of the country. We love trying new foods, shopping and seeing local sites wherever we go. This wedding has been over seven years in the making and we are so thrilled that you will be present. We love LOVE and I hope the day reminds you of all the good reasons why we love our spouses, friends, and family. Thank you for being a part of this special moment and our lives.
