Once upon a time - 
Gosh, even having to think back to the very beginning feels like forever ago. We were just two kids. For those of you who don’t know, Jeff and I grew up in the same small town. Growing up in the same small town meant we went to the same little white church. Jeff swears he fell in love with me first but I can promise you, I did. I remember the exact moment. So does my Mom, she tells this story to everyone. I was 13 years old sitting in a church pew, listening to this young man give a sermon. If I close my eyes to this day, I can still see Jeff, with a cross behind him, standing up, & praising Jesus. I remember looking at my Mom, and I said, “Mommy I want to marry someone like that someday”. Her response was, “Who knows honey, maybe you’ll marry him”. 

Through our relationship over many years, there was always a divine intervention that brought us back together. Whether it was bumping into each other at the book store in college. Or, me almost hitting Jeff with my car in the Walmart parking lot, he was always there. Almost like a guardian angel watching over me. Through the years, we didn’t always make it. Young love isn’t easy. So we grew up, & tried again. It was always meant to be you and me babe. 

So, Mama was right because here we are!!! Months away from becoming husband and wife. When they say find you someone that loves you like Jesus does… don’t worry, Jesus will put him right in front of you. Jeff, you are my greatest achievement in this lifetime thus far. Every wrong turn, lead me back to you. I can’t wait to be your wife.
