A fun and FREE place to visit in Chicago is the Lincoln Park Zoo. Great place to walk, get a snack and see the animals. It's also close to the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) if you want to window shop or get some food.

We would recommend doing this on a week day (Friday) or early in the morning on the weekend. It is the largest Starbucks location in the world and has special drinks and food to try that is only available at this location. A great way to start your day or if you need a midday recharge.

Located in the West Loop, this area has great food, shopping, and is close to our wedding venue. We love the West Loop and some of our favorite restaurants include Cira, Levain Bakery, Beatrix, Sushi Dokku and Lena Brava. Be sure to stop at Jeni's, Katie's favorite ice cream shop!

Chicago has some of the best museums in the world! While Katie's favorite is the Shedd Aquarium, AJ is partial to the Adler Planetarium. But don't worry if you can't decide! These and the Field Museum are all a short walk from each other. We would recommend getting a City Pass if you want to make the most of Chicago's museums while you are in the Windy City.
