Our Wedding

Fran and I both had a rough start to the COVID pandemic. Being stuck in the hospital together, you learn a lot about one another, pretty quickly, since the rest of the world was shut down. We went from coworkers, to friends. One day, I took Grammy to her Cardiology Appointment, to meet her new doctor (Fran). 	After the appointment Grammy asks me, "Kate, my new doctor, is he married?" I said, "No Grammy, why? You lookin for a boyfriend?' She said "No, but you are, does he know that?" I told Fran about Grammy's suggestion and laughed. Turns out, he did not think it was all that ridiculous.

After settling their differences, and forgiving the bride for convincing her she was adopted for a number of years, the littlest sister has become an irreplaceable support human for the happy couple. Her heart truly knows no bounds as she miraculously acted as maid of honor while completing her first year of PA school.

Displayed here, in his natural Salem County habitat, this new dad took time away from his New Balances, lawn care, and rocket-building to support his big sister on her wedding day.

Cassie became “Skwirutized” in 2019 and even prior to this has always been the sound voice of reason in the group. She’s the one you want at the helm, leading the escape room, and definitely in charge of William. As a new mother and elite educator, it’s amazing how she manages to make it look so easy!

Double the cuteness factor of this wedding! Harper, niece of the bride, will be walking with her little sister Teagan, goddaughter of the bride, down the aisle. Sources close to the family say Teagan used this wedding as motivation to learn how to walk. These ladies are carrying on a tradition, as their father, acted as ring bearer for the bride’s parents.

This highly sought-after musician recently moved to NYC, as a recent addition to the faculty at Julliard! Even though she lives in the city now, she loves the great outdoors, and she won’t turn down a chance to travel and hike. This loyal big sister has been an anchor for the Burts, and now, the bride too!

This woman is a creative bolt of energy, able to reinvent herself like a Phoenix when life demands. She is kind spirited and full of love, just wanting to make the world a happier, brighter, and more beautiful place.

This grilled cheese enthusiast and puzzle expert was found spending most of his summer in his new pool. If he was in his clothes? Doesn’t matter. The key is to “fall in.” It buys you at least 5 minutes while dad looks for a towel. 

William Burt

Trouble is only his middle name of his first name is “Lotsa.” Grant has a wide array of interests that span from breakdancing to trying strange foods, like fish eyes. His dream job would be captaining his own pirate crew. Fortunately, he was granted the title of “Captain” after finding hidden treasure on his seventh birthday, this year.

Big sister to both Grant and William, spent her summer swimming competitively. One day she dreams of owning a farm full of alpacas. At present, she has settled for raising a Silkie chicken. She aspires to be a speech therapist so she can help more kids like her brother. Truly the epitome of “oldest child and big sister,” just like the bride!

Paige Burt

Son of Michaela and Christine. Recently discovered what sass was but, knowing his mother, it was only a matter of time. Highly selective food critic as well. Current evidence supports he may be the next Gordon Ramsay, but taller.
