Tres and I met in spring of 2013. We had both ended up in San Diego through work, me with Hyatt and him with the Navy. Within a few weeks of Tres moving to San Diego, Tres and I met out at a local bar where he heard an accent he wouldn't miss anywhere. We then realized we had grown up about 45 minutes from each other in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. He spent the rest of the evening quizzing me on local facts and events just to make sure I was real!Fast forward two years and two deployments later, Tres was the best Christmas present of 2015 when he arrived back in San Diego after nearly an 8 month deployment! The Friday after he returned we were just planning on spending the day together with nothing in particular we needed to do. He suggested we grab some lunch and head over to Cabrillo National Monument where we love exploring the tide pools and soaking up the stunning views. When we arrived at Cabrillo the wind was whipping but Tres insisted we keep going further away from the main tide pool area. After about 15-20 minutes I decided I was freezing (it was maybe 59 degrees. Yes I am completely California-ized), suggested going back to the car and started walking that direction. Tres grabbed my shoulders, asked me to wait a second, and began his spiel. The next thing I know he's down on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him! We are so excited to start this next chapter and see where life takes us!

Zack and Tres both went the Naval Academy. They have been in the same squadron for 3 years and completed two deployments together. Zack lives in San Diego!

Alexis and Katie met while living in the sorority houses sophomore year of college. They both studied hospitality at James Madison University and survived the infamous theme dinner project together. Alexis lives in Orlando Florida!

Cody and Tres were in the same company at the Naval Academy. They became close friends during flight school. Cody is a helicopter pilot in Jacksonville, Florida now!

Rob and Tres were in the same company at the Naval Academy. Rob was stationed in San Diego for a while but lives in Alexandria now with his wife Marisa!

Allan and Tres have been roommates since college. They both attended the Naval Academy together. Allan lives in San Diego, CA now and is also a helicopter pilot. Unfortunately Allan won't be able to be with us on our wedding day as he will be deployed overseas.

BWI Airport is the closest ariport to the Annapolis area, only a 30 minute drive without traffic. We recommend flying into this airport!

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport

Use the link provided below to get to the Smith/Penny room block page and received the discounted rate of $229/night for a single or double room. There is a two night minimum for this rate. Reservations must be made by April 5, 2017 to receive the room block rate. Parking is available on site for $23/night for valet and $20/night for self parking. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 12pm. The Loews is right in the heart of downtown Annapolis and less than a mile from the US Naval Academy. This allows you to easily explore all Annapolis has to offer!

Ram's Head On Stageis one of the best venues in the country! See national touring musicians in a small intimate setting where you can get food and drinks delivered right to your seat!

Boatyard Bar &amp; Grill is well known for it's to die for crab cakes and fish and chips! it's about a 10 minute walk from the City Docks area across the Spa Creek Bridge. Definitely a must stop! Happy hour is from 3pm-6pm with 99 cent oysters and $3 drafts!

Chick &amp; Ruth's is an Annapolis landmark and most certainly worth the wait you will usually find on weekend mornings! Huge variety on the menu but in our opinion a stop at Chick &amp; Ruth's would be incomplete without one of their 1/2 pound crab cakes!

Pusser's is a great spot for drinks right on the water at City Docks! Enjoy the views of the many boats that cruise up and down Ego Alley and definitely don't miss their famous Painkiller cocktail!

If you want to get your hands dirty absolutely go for picking crabs at Cantler's while you are in town! Fresh live crabs are brought in daily. Don't miss this spot!

You will get a glimpse of the Naval Academy while on campus for our wedding ceremony but there is so much more to see there so definitely pencil some time in here while you are in town! Bancroft Hall is a must see as it is the largest single dormitory in the world and houses all of the Navy midshipmen! Noon Meal Formation is a great attraction for visitors! It occurs Monday-Friday at 12:05pm where the midshipmen gather in the Yard and march to lunch together. Definitely take some time to tour the Naval Academy but make sure you have a photo ID as it is required to enter the campus.

The William Paca House is a gorgeous place to walk around especially in the spring! It was built in the 1760s by William Paca would eventually be one of Maryland's four signers of the Declaration of Independence. It is open from 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sundays. There is an option for a guided tour of the house and gardens or a self guided tour of the gardens.
