It all started on Snapchat. One of my high school friends made me add him on Snapchat. We immediately clicked. We talked for about a month before we actually met in person. Andrew moved to Mitchell to start college. We met in person at a movie sometime in September 2017. We hung out a couple of times after that, and on October 3, 2017, he asked me to be his girlfriend! 

He moved back to Spearfish for the summer of 2018 after I graduated high school. I spent a week in Spearfish with him, and then we spent the rest of the summer in a long distance relationship. We would take turns, when we could, to visit each other. At the end of the summer, Andrew moved back to Mitchell so that he could finish his second semester of college. I started my first semester of Small Business Management online, and we both got a job at Cabela’s. 

In May of 2019, Andrew and I both graduated from Mitchell Tech, although I still had 1 semester to finish, which I finished in August. Andrew moved back to Spearfish again, and we spent the summer driving back and forth to see each other. We started looking for apartments in Spearfish and finally found one. They were being built, and were supposed to be done in October of 2019. I also started looking for jobs, and applied at a daycare center in Deadwood. I got hired, so, a week later, I packed up most of my things and moved 4.5 hours away from my family. Our apartments still weren’t done, so Andrew’s parents let me move into their house! (Thank you Marc and Rita!) We got a puppy in December of 2019 and we fell so in love with her!

Our apartments were finally done late February of 2020. We moved in the middle of a snowstorm! 

October 3, 2020 was our third dating anniversary. October 15, 2020 was the day. We traveled to Mitchell mainly for pheasant opener, but I also wanted to spend my 21st birthday with my family. Little did I know, Andrew had something planned! We went to Blarney’s with Marc, Rita, Devin, Allie, and my Dad. We had a couple of drinks, and then Andrew ordered me a birthday dessert. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” and then he popped the question, and I said yes! 

And now it’s time for wedding planning!
